CLEMMONS, N.C. – Awards for IMCA’s Junior National Champion and Lady Eagle winner are new this season, courtesy of Velocita.
The Clemmons, N.C., manufacturer expands its IMCA program with awards designated for teen drivers and for female competitors.
“The Velocita program has always been very versatile and they jumped at the chance to outfit our Junior National Champion, as well as our Lady Eagle winner in 2020,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder noted. “Those are going to be two very deserving drivers and it is only fitting to award them a new fire suit.”
In its ninth season of sponsorship, Velocita again gives custom fire suits to IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Late Model, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact national champions, and $200 product certificates to other drivers winning Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock regional titles.
All Velocita awards will be presented at the IMCA national banquet in November.
Event title sponsor Fast Shafts gives Velocita-manufactured fire suits to each of the 30 Modified drivers elected to start the Friday, Sept. 11 All-Star Invitational to be held during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway.
Velocita also manufactures gloves, shoes and underwear, crew shirts and jackets. More information is available at the company’s www.velocita-usa.com website or by calling 336 816-7223.
