10-year sponsor Sweet Manufacturing gives IMCA Modified, Late Model awards

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sweet Manufacturing marks a decade of IMCA sponsorship this season, renewing a contingency award program that benefits Modified and Late Model competitors.

Manufacturer of the Official Steering Box of IMCA, the Kalamazoo, Mich., company is in its fifth season as part of the national decal program for Modifieds and drivers in both the Modified and Late Model divisions are required to display two Sweet decals on their race cars.

Champions in each of the five regions for Modifieds and the top driver in national Late Model point standings earn steering boxes; second through fifth place finishers in each Modified region receive $50 gift certificates.

Recipients of steering boxes awarded at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s include the Modified champion, plus the three Modified front row starters, longest tow qualifier, top non-qualifier in points, and Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational winners.

The Late Model champion earns a steering rack while the RaceSaver Nationals champion receives a sprint car steering box.

The Modified winner at the Duel In the Desert at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in November also receives a steering box.
