Ricochet rewards IMCA Modified, Northern SportMod drivers

BRUSH, Colo. – Drivers in both the IMCA Modified and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod divisions earn Ricochet Race Components awards again in 2019.

The Brush, Colo., company, gives sets of three shock guard covers to champions and rookies of the year in each of the five regions for Modifieds, and to the Northern SportMod national champion and the national rookie of the year.

Feature winners and champions in the Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Classic Modified Tour and the Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour, and winners of another 10 designated Modified specials receive the same award.

The first of 11 Dirt Knights Tour dates this season is May 27 at Benton County Speedway; the 30th annual Dakota Classic Tour runs July 6-11.

A six-year sponsor, Ricochet is owned by long-time IMCA Modified driver John Hansen.

“Partnering with IMCA is something we look forward to every year,” said Hansen. “It is an honor to support a reputable organization in the racing industry.

Feature winner awards will be presented in victory lane while all other Ricochet awards will be presented during the national IMCA banquet in November or mailed from the home office beginning the following week.

“The Ricochet program is wide-ranging and provides a great product to racers from all across the country,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “The opportunity to personally present those products directly to racers in victory lane is one of the elements that makes the Ricochet program a favorite among racers and IMCA staff.”
