OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. – IMCA rookies in all divisions are in the running for awards this season given by first-year sponsor Driven Racing Oil.
National IMCA Modified, IMCA Late Model, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact rookies of the year all receive $100 gift certificates from the Olive Branch, Miss., manufacturer and distributor.
Regional Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock rookies of the year get certificates of the same value.
“For over 10 years, we have worked directly with the most recognized engine builders in all forms of racing. Our products have powered championships at every level of the sport but we have always had a special interest in supporting grassroots racers, which makes IMCA a great fit for us,” said Contingency Coordinator Billy Carroll.
One of the most positive aspects of the new program, he noted, was support for first-year drivers who compete with more limited budgets.
“A lot of programs reward more experienced drivers that are recording top finishes week in and week out,” Carroll explained. “This program rewards those drivers who may not have gained the experience or team depth yet to run at the front of the pack. It’s nice to be able to directly reward those that are the future of our sport and bring world class lubricant technology to IMCA racers.”
Driven originated out of the Joe Gibbs NASCAR organization and manufactures an extensive variety of premium oil and lubricants for motorsports as well as street, marine and off-road usage.
Information about that product line is available by calling 866-611-1820, on Facebook and at the www.drivenracingoil.com website.
Driven Racing Oil certificates will be presented during the national awards banquet or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office, and are redeemable through any Driven distributor.
“We are very familiar with the folks at Driven Racing Oil through other partnerships and welcome the opportunity to market this to our first-year competitors,” commented IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Providing great awards for drivers new to a division, or the sport in general, does nothing but strengthen their will to continue and achieve success.”
