Garnhart, Soppe score at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (May 6) – Sunday’s Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modifieds feature at Dubuque Speedway was another nail biter as several drivers took their turns at the front.

Bryce Garnhart battled with Austin Moyer for much of the 20-lap main event before crossing under the checkers ahead of Moyer. Last week’s winner Jason Schueller turned in another fine run in taking third.

Defending IMCA national champion Tyler Soppe scored the feature win in the 18-lap GSI Collision Specialists Northern Sportmod main event.

Soppe fought to the front from a fourth row start to score the win ahead of early leader Justin Becker. Scott Busch followed up last week’s win with a third place finish.

Deery Series begins drive to 500th event with Davenport, Maquoketa, Dubuque dates

DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 4) – A rich weekend kicks off the Deery Brothers Summer Series’ history-making 33rd season. Opening night takes the IMCA Late Model tour to Davenport Speedway for the $5,000 to win Rebel 5K next Friday, April 12. Completing the tripleheader slate are $2,500 to win events Saturday, April 13 at Maquoketa Speedway and Sunday, April 14 at Dubuque Speedway. “You’d be hard-pressed to find another series in America that can boast about their 500th event in series history. $250 Sunoco bonus on tap for IMCA Late Model winner at Dubuque

VINTON, Iowa – The payday got even better for the winner of Sunday’s main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models at Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway. The third $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus of the season will be paid to the June 7 Late Model winner at Dubuque. Sunoco bonuses will be presented at Late Model sanctioned tracks this year. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the 2020 racing season. Previous winners were Jeff Aikey at Independence Motor Speedway on May 23 and Matt Ryan at 34 Raceway last Saturday night. IMCA will announce mid-week before the dates bonuses are to be awarded at each track. Grandstand seating is now open, and fans will also have the opportunity to watch the night’s racing action by logging on to IMCA.tvor affiliate DoneRight.tv. The live streaming service will carry a one-time charge and will not require a membership. Hot laps are scheduled to take to the track at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Fryer takes IMCA Modified win at Dubuque

By Rob Hinckley DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 2) – The track came to him. That is what Jaden Fryer wanted Sunday evening at Dubuque Speedway. The Freeport, Ill. pilot shot from the outside front row and held off track champion Bryce Garnhart and NASCAR and dirt legend Ken Schrader to win the Merfeld Brothers Automotive IMCA Modified 20-lap feature. “This was really special,” Fryer said in C&W Trucking/Hoker Trucking/Kam Koncepts Victory Lane. “It was fun getting the win and we worked hard.” Fryer and his team dedicated the win to a friend recently lost to cancer and had the car wrapped in her memory. Sproul Wins Modified Thriller At WaKeeney

(May 17, 2025) — WaKeeney Speedway brought the curtain down on the John Fose Memorial/Wall of Fame Weekend with a Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature that lived up to the occasion. Jeremy Frenier took command early, storming to the lead as the field settled in behind him. But Daniel Gottschalk soon reeled him in, making the pass after a few circuits to take over the top spot. As the race reached the midway point, a four-car shootout began to take shape with Gottschalk, Frenier, Kyle Rohleder, and Dakota Sproul all in the mix. Gottschalk’s time out front was cut short when Rohleder powered to the lead, but Sproul was just hitting his stride. Methodically working the track, Sproul closed in and made a dramatic last lap pass on Rohleder to secure his second Jet Racing Central Region victory of the season. Electrifying Charge to Front Nets Price BAPS Win

By Frank Buhrman YORK HAVEN, Pa. (May 18, 2025) — It wasn’t an easy climb, but Sunday night at BAPS Motor Speedway, Landon Price reached the top of the mountain again and enjoyed the view. Four years and nine months after he last visited victory lane in a River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series feature, Price returned Sunday, after an electrifying charge through the field from 11th starting position. That performance also earned the Fleetwood driver the hard charger award. After advancing from seventh to third in his heat race, the Price team’s pill-draw skills didn’t improve, and he picked 11th out of the 12 redraw starting spots, but when the race started, it quickly became obvious that something special was happening with the no. 69P team. Shantz Dominates at Harris Speedway for Second Career Carolina Sprint Tour Win

Despite losing a few entries from the previous night at Carolina Speedway, a strong field of 15 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars put on an incredible show under the lights of Rutherford County. After the redraw, it was Biscuit Williams and Josh Shantz on the front row for the 25-lap main event.
