Garnhart, Soppe score at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (May 6) – Sunday’s Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modifieds feature at Dubuque Speedway was another nail biter as several drivers took their turns at the front.

Bryce Garnhart battled with Austin Moyer for much of the 20-lap main event before crossing under the checkers ahead of Moyer. Last week’s winner Jason Schueller turned in another fine run in taking third.

Defending IMCA national champion Tyler Soppe scored the feature win in the 18-lap GSI Collision Specialists Northern Sportmod main event.

Soppe fought to the front from a fourth row start to score the win ahead of early leader Justin Becker. Scott Busch followed up last week’s win with a third place finish.

Hurst reigns at Dubuque

By Rob Hinckley DUBUQUE, Iowa (July 21) – Dozens swarmed to Hoker Trucking/C&W Trucking/Kam Koncepts Victory Circle. Tears flowed. There was emotion in the winner’s voice. Jeremiah Hurst has won many, but the season championship at his hometown Dubuque Speedway is always special. Hurst started eighth but made his run to the front quick, taking the point for good on lap five and won the Eichman’s Bar & Grill IMCA Late Model 25-lapper Sunday evening at Dubuque Speedway. “It’s always special to win here,” Hurst said. “We’ll just keep winning. The finale had to go to overdrive/overtime as runner-up Joel Callahan slammed the turn two wall and finally stopped on turn four as the white flag was ready to fly. Deery Series begins drive to 500th event with Davenport, Maquoketa, Dubuque dates

DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 4) – A rich weekend kicks off the Deery Brothers Summer Series’ history-making 33rd season. Opening night takes the IMCA Late Model tour to Davenport Speedway for the $5,000 to win Rebel 5K next Friday, April 12. Completing the tripleheader slate are $2,500 to win events Saturday, April 13 at Maquoketa Speedway and Sunday, April 14 at Dubuque Speedway. “You’d be hard-pressed to find another series in America that can boast about their 500th event in series history. Season championships Sunday at Dubuque

By Jerry Mackey DUBUQUE, Iowa – This Sunday, Aug. 26, Dubuque Hose & Hydraulics will present the 2018 season championship races at Dubuque Speedway. Track championships will be decided in both the Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modified and GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Northern SportMod divisions. Fans in attendance on Sunday night will have an opportunity to win tickets to the 41st annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic. A drawing from the ticket stubs will be held prior to the features on and three lucky fans will win three-day Yankee tickets. Farley Speedway will host the Yankee Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

Probst Powers to Third Arlington Hobby Stock Win

(Jun. 7, 2025) — In Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock action at Arlington Raceway, Jonathan Schroeder was the early leader until he pulled off the track on lap 9, following a yellow for Taylor Manderfield’s engine issues. That opened the door for Cory Probst, who took over after the restart and never looked back. The Brewster driver powered to his 13th victory of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region and third of the year at Arlington. Jordan Robinson followed Probst across the line in second. Daniel Probst ended up third. Blood Edges Patterson in Photo Finish at Sunset

Both the reigning Oregon and Washington state champions were in the house, and the action lived up to the billing. Oregon’s Carter Patterson set a torrid pace out front that could’ve gone unnoticed—if not for the war that broke out behind him for positions two through five. David Day, John Gaynor, Tyson Blood, and Devon Reed were locked in a relentless battle, often racing under a blanket and using multiple grooves across the Bullring. By the time Tumwater, Washington’s Tyson Blood finally broke through to second, he faced a mountain: a four-second gap to the leader, lap traffic, and just 15 laps remaining. Lamphere Charges to Second Win After Wild Woodhull Modified Feature

(Jun. 7, 2025) – A string of early cautions slowed the start of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Woodhull Raceway, setting the stage for a dramatic and unpredictable main event. Shawn Bruce led the opening laps before mechanical trouble forced him to the back of the field, bringing out a yellow. That handed the lead to Jakub Ingham, who paced the field for a couple circuits until longtime Street Stock veteran Earl Zimmer muscled his way into the top spot. But heartbreak struck again—Zimmer’s car suffered a rear-end failure that ended his night prematurely. Ingham regained the lead, but his challenge was just beginning. Keith Lamphere, charging forward with momentum, closed in and eventually made the pass to take over the top spot. Lamphere then held off all challengers to score his second win of the season at Woodhull and second overall in the DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region. Ingham settled for a strong runner-up finish, with Jacob McConnell crossing the line third.
