Four IMCA divisions featured at April 11-14 Frostbusters

DONNELLSON, Iowa – Four Iowa divisions run each night of Frostbuster Week, now scheduled for April 11-14.

$1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events for the IMCA Modifieds headline race programs Wednesday, April 11 at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Thursday, April 12 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton, Friday, April 13 at Marshalltown Speedway and Saturday, April 14 at Boone Speedway.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 to win at each Frostbuster, originally scheduled for April 4-7 but postponed due to weather.

One thousand dollar point funds will be paid to top five drivers in each division. Champions become eligi­ble to qualify for their respective race of champions events dur­ing the IMCA Speedway Mo­tors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s and also receive jackets and plaques during the national awards banquet in November.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, re­gional and Iowa State points will be awarded at all four shows. Entry fees each night are $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars and $20 for SportMods and Hobby Stocks. Pit passes are $30.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. at Donnellson, where Mach-1 Sport Compacts complete the card. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. The gates open at Vinton at 5 p.m. and the grand­stand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with rac­ing to follow.

Gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps at Marshalltown. Boone opens the pit gates at 2 p.m. and the grand­stand at 3 p.m. Hot laps start at 4 p.m. and rac­ing at 5 p.m.
