Fiebelkorn’s Last-Lap Move Caps Big Night at Shelby County Speedway

By Don Hawkins HARLAN, Iowa (May 2, 2026) — Action in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts produced the most excitement of the night at Shelby County Speedway. A strong field of cars took the green, and Gavin Miller jumped out to the early lead as the field battled throughout. On the final lap, Stuart’s Tyler Fiebelkorn charged from the 11th starting position to make the winning move and score his third victory of the season at three different tracks. David Coenen, who started 10th, finished second, followed by Miller in third, Levi Volkert in fourth, and Michael Gardner in fifth. The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks also delivered a thrilling race. Audubon’s Colby Christensen put together an impressive drive from 14th to capture his first win of the year in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Kolby Sabin, who started 12th, finished second while pulling double duty. Bryan Kriegel took third, Kaleb Brunssen was fourth, and defending track champion Jeff Fink rounded out the top five. The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars once again provided plenty of excitement. [Read More]

Stafford Steals Saturday SportMod Win on Final Corner at Central Arizona

By Rowdy Briggs CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (May 2, 2026) — The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods delivered one of Saturday’s wildest finishes at Central Arizona Raceway. A chaotic opening two turns brought out a quick caution before Tyke Miles took the lead once racing resumed. Miles spun one lap later, handing the lead to Eric Winemiller. Winemiller looked to be on his way to the win, but trouble getting around a lapped car on the final lap allowed Bubba Stafford Jr. to close in and steal the victory coming off turn four. Stafford, of Wittmann, charged from ninth to earn his third win of the year, all coming at Central Arizona Raceway. Winemiller was second, followed by Tyler Johnson, James Meile, who started 16th, and Miles. Madrid and McDaniel Split Hobby Stock Wins The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks produced two different winners on the weekend. On Saturday, Joe Peterson led early before his hood began coming up with about five laps remaining. Peterson made it work until he bobbled off turn four, allowing Anthony Madrid to [Read More]

Logan Charges from Sixth to Skagit Modified Victory

By Kaleb Hart ALGER, Wash. (May 2, 2026) — Cole Logan of Burlington put together an impressive drive to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Skagit Speedway. Starting sixth, Logan worked his way to the front in short order, taking the lead from Jeff Hunt on lap seven. Once out front, he went virtually unchallenged the rest of the way to secure his first win of 2026 in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region. Adam Holtrop finished second, while Tyson Blood charged from ninth to third. Rory Smith advanced from eighth to fourth, with Hunt rounding out the top five. The race served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier, putting Logan on the eligibility list to try and qualify for the event to be held in September during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Heat race wins went to Holtrop and Lane Zerbin.
