Performance Bodies adds more awards for IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks 

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Performance Bodies expands its already substantial IMCA program this season, with additional awards for Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers.

The Cedar Falls, Iowa, high performance au­tomotive parts distributor and race car body manufacturer gives more than $25,000 in product awards and gift cards to drivers in seven sanctioned divisions in its 36th year as an IMCA sponsor.

“Performance Bodies is proud to be a sponsor of IMCA for over 36 years. We are honored to be involved with a program that gives back to the drivers,” Performance Bodies owner Scott Braun said. “We look forward to many more years of partnership with IMCA and the racing community.”

A MD3 Mod valance and rocker panel kit or spruce-up special now goes to second through seventh place drivers in point standings and second, third and fourth place finishers in rookie standings in each of the five Modified regions; and second through sixth place finishers in national points and runners-up in rookie of the year standings for Karl Chevrolet Northern and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod divisions.

Top 10 finishers and now 15th and 20th place drivers in both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and both IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock regions, and national rookies of the year in IMCA Late Model, Stock Car and now Hobby Stock divisions earn nosepiece and headlight decal kits.

Top five drivers in the Deery Brothers Summer Series receive an MD3 Late Model nose, a pair of molded dirt fenders, headlight kit and valance package. Gift cards for $100, $50 and $50, respectively, go to the top three drivers in national Mach-1 Sport Compact point standings.

Performance Bodies returns to national decal programs for both the IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock divisions and drivers in both divisions must display two Performance Bodies decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.

Performance Bodies also continues to sponsor the rookie of the year programs for Late Models and Stock Cars. The deadline for submitting rookie of the year applications is Aug. 1.
