BOONVILLE, Ind. – AFCO joins even more exclusive company in 2018, its 25th consecutive season as an IMCA sponsor.
The Boonville, Ind., manufacturer becomes just the fifth company to reach the quarter-century mark of sponsorship with IMCA, continuing a generous slate of awards for IMCA Modified, IMCA Late Model, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and IMCA Southern SportMod drivers.
“AFCO is thrilled to mark its 25th year supporting IMCA racing. We value our longstanding tradition of being involved with this great organization,” said AFCO Performance Group Marketing Director Kerri Hart. “We look forward to awarding IMCA racers with GM replacement frame kits and many various contingency awards. We’re gearing up for an exciting racing season!”
The Modified national champion and rookie of the year, as well as the first hard luck driver to get upside down during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, all receive GM frame replacement kits.
Top three eligible drivers in each of the five Modified regions receive product certificates worth $250, $150 and $50, respectively, while the top three in both Stock Car regions receive certificates good for $200, $100 and $50.
Top three eligible drivers in both Northern and Southern regions for Hobby Stocks and top three drivers in national SportMod standings get product certificates valued at $125, $75 and $50, respectively.
Drivers in those divisions must compete with AFCO-manufactured shocks and springs, display two AFCO decals on their race car and return a completed sign-up sheet to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1 to be eligible.
The national Late Model rookie of the year and fourth, sixth and 11th place finishers in national Late Model point standings all earn $100 product certificates.
AFCO awards will be presented during the national banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

“AFCO has elevated themselves to rare air through the support of IMCA racing for 25 years,” commented IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Our relationship with them pre-dates the length of time most other sanctioning bodies have been in existence and even the age of a fair percentage of our most promising racers. We’re proud to be associated with AFCO and plan for many more years of success.”
