$1,500 to win features top nine Karl Performance Arizona IMCA Modified Tour dates 

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. – $1,500 to win features will be complemented by sunshine and 85 degree days over the course of the Feb. 9-18 Karl Performance Arizona IMCA Modified Tour.

One hundred and eleven Modified drivers, and another 49 Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod competi­tors, representing 16 states and two provinces, were pre-registered for the second annual tour.

Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events are Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9 and 10 at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek; Sunday and Monday, Feb. 11 and 12 at Central Arizona Speed­way in Casa Grande; Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 14 and 15 at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria; and Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 16-18 at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, Allstar Per­formance State and special series points will be awarded to the Modifieds. A minimum of $150 will be paid to start each feature.

Arizona Speedway opens the pit gates at 3 p.m. and the grandstand at 4 p.m., with racing at 6:30 p.m. both nights. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and free for kids 11 and under; pit passes are $30 for adults, $15 for kids ages 7-11 and free for six and under.

At Central Arizona, gates open at 9 a.m. for the Sunday show, with the grandstand opening at 11 a.m. and racing at 1 p.m. Gates open at 3 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and racing is at 7 p.m. Monday.

Spectator admission for both shows is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military and free for kids 11 and under. Pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for kids ages 7-11 and free for six and under.

Pits will be open all day Wednesday and Thursday at Canyon for the Desert Classic; pit passes will be sold and grandstand seating will be sold beginning at 5 p.m. and racing is at 7:30 p.m. Grand­stand admission will be $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military and free for kids 11 and under while pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for kids ages 7-11 and free for six and under.

And at Cocopah’s Winter Nationals, pit gates open at 2 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, gates open at 11 a.m., the grandstand opens at noon and racing is at 2 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and military and free for 12 and under. Skybox seating is $30 and a family pack (two adults and up to three teenagers) is $35. Pit passes are $35.

Practices will be held Feb. 8 at Arizona Speedway and Feb. 13 at Canyon.
