Cheesehead Triple Crown paydays add up to $20,000 for IMCA Modified winners 

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. – IMCA Modified drivers chase winner’s checks totaling $20,000 over the course of the upcoming Cheesehead Triple Crown.

141 Speedway’s June 21 and 22 Clash at the Creek boasts a $10,000 top check. Both the June 23 Battle at the Zone at Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway and Shawano Speedway’s June 24 Fury at the Fairgrounds are $5,000 to win events.

All three features are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers and Ken Schrader will vie with the IMCA regulars both nights at 141.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded through­out the richest week of IMCA racing in Wisconsin.

Pre-tech starts at noon and an open practice session runs from 6-9 p.m. at Francis Creek on Tues­day, June 20. Dirt Kings Late Models are in town, pit passes are $25 and admission to the grandstand $10.

Clash qualifying starts Wednesday, June 21. The Thursday, June 22 feature pays a minimum of $750 to start. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $1,000 to win, with a $20 entry fee, both nights.

Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. both days. Wednesday spectator admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students; on Thursday, admission is $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. Kids 10 and under accompa­nying a paid adult get in free and pit passes are $30 each day. Three-day pit passes are $75.

Entry fee for Modifieds is $200 by June 3, $250 after that date or $300 on race day. More infor­mation about the Clash at the Creek is available from promoter Scott Ratajczak at 920 360-5925.

A minimum of $250 will be paid to start the Modified headliner at Oshkosh on Friday, June 23 and the entry fee is $125 or $150 after June 15. Stock Cars and Northern SportMods both race for $750 to win and all applicable points, including track.

The Saturday, June 24 Fury at the Fairgrounds also pays a minimum of $250 to start the Modified main. Entry fee is $125 before June 15 or $150 after that date.

Stock Cars race for $500 to win and Northern SportMods for $400 to win, along with all applicable points.

Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $5 for students ages 12-16 and free for kids 11 and under. Pit passes are $25.
