Max Papis Innovations steering new awards to top drivers in four IMCA divisions

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The company with the motto Shaped By A Racer For The Best Racers presents awards to the best racers in four IMCA divisions beginning this season.

Max Papis Innovations gives MPI steering wheels with custom stands to the IMCA Modified, IMCA Late Model, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car national champions.

Second and third-place finishers in national standings for the same divisions all receive $50 gift certificates from the Mooresville, N.C., headquartered company.

“We are racers and we produce the best products for other racers,” said owner Max Papis, whose extensive racing credentials include the NASCAR Cup Series, Indy Car, Champ Car, Formula 1 and Le Mans. “Whether it’s the Daytona 500 or a local dirt track, we want to support the sport. We want to support racers who compete at any level.”

MPI has customers at all levels of racing and has already developed a niche with dirt Modified and dirt Late Model drivers.

“We’ve been involved quite extensively with Modifieds and Late Models. It’s natural for us to create an association with the sanctioning body representing those divisions,” Papis explained. “We entered the dirt market with a lot of success and a natural extension is working with IMCA. I’m excited about the relationship we have started here.”

Quality and safety are the two most important elements that go into MPI steering wheels and accessories.

“We are passionate about the sport. IMCA is passionate about the sport,” Papis said. “We share that principle and want to support the grassroots racer, like I was when I started racing.”

MPI has dealers in 13 states, including Jerovetz Motorsports Shock Service, as well as Canada and Australia.

All awards from Max Papis Innovations will be presented during the national IMCA banquet in November.

“This is a great new partnership and falls in line with IMCA’s philosophy of aligning with the leaders in the racing industry,” noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Max Papis is as credentialed as they come on the international stage and now has a product line targeted toward dirt track racers. We feel confident this will be a relationship that will last well into the future and benefit IMCA racers in the process.”
