IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods return to LaSalle for May 18 Spring Shootout

LaSALLE, Ill. – IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods return to LaSalle Speedway for the Thursday, May 18 Spring Shootout presented by Hoker Trucking.

The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot-qualifying feature for Modifieds pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $125 to start. Northern SportMods run for $600 to win and $100 to start.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be given in both divisions. Side Biter Chassis North Central Region points will also be awarded to Modifieds.

There is no entry fee for either IMCA division. Pit passes are $40. Spectator admission is $35 for adults and free for kids 11 and under.

Pit gates open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

LaSalle also hosts the third annual IMCA One Night Stand Aug. 4 and 5.  IMCA Late Models race for $1,000 to win on Friday while $3,000 is the top prize for Modifieds, Late Models and Northern SportMods on Saturday night.
