2017 IMCA Late Model season begins Friday at Davenport 

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Rob Toland will begin defense of his IMCA Late Model national champion­ship this Friday, April 28 at Davenport Speedway.

Toland’s 2016 national title was his career third. His previous national crowns were in 2001 and 2005. He was also the track champion at Davenport last season.

Late Models will use a draw/re-draw format. Davenport’s other weekly classes, the Ericksen Chevro­let IMCA Modifieds, the Koehler Electric Street Stocks, and the Hawkeye Auto IMCA SportMods, will be lined up by point average

All races will be on the quarter-mile oval.

Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:15 p.m. and racing at 6:45 p.m.
