LONGDALE, Okla. – The Winter Nationals is developing into a strong event that helps close each season at Longdale Speedway.
The third edition of the marquee event is set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15-16 and will feature three IMCA sanctioned divisions.
The first night will be the standard purse for each class with the Oct. 16 event paying $1,000 to win and $200 to start for both the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and IMCA SportMods and $800 to win and $100 to start for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.
Sunday’s feature for the Modifieds is a 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event.
The opening night of the doubleheader will feature a full race program with the top 12 drivers in each class locked into Sunday’s starting grid. Last-chance races kick off the second night of racing on Oct. 16 and will determine the remainder of the starting lineup for the main events.
The entry fee increases $100 for a driver only racing on Oct. 16.
Adult tickets are $10 each night with tickets for seniors and military members $8 per night. Children ages 12 and younger get in free. Anyone who attends Saturday can bring their ticket stub to Sunday’s race and get in for $5. Pit passes are $30 per day.
The front gate will open at 5 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. both nights.
Additionally, there will be a practice on Oct. 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Each pit pass is $30.
