Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods have potential $4,000 payday Tuesday at Britt

BRITT, Iowa – One of the top-paying events of the season could send the winner of Hancock County Speedway’s Tuesday, June 21 MaxY­ield Seed Northern SportMod Nationals home with as much as $4,000.

The main event for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods pays a minimum of $2,500 to win. Five hun­dred dollar bonuses will be paid if that driver has raced at least six times this season, has perfect attendance and has won a regular sea­son feature at Britt this season.

Payout has been increased throughout the field with the runner-up earning $1,200 and the third-place finisher $1,000. The winner receives a six-foot-tall trophy and minimum of $200 will be paid to start the 24-car feature.

Top two finishers from each heat advance to the $200 to win 10-lap DeKalb/Asgrow Dash to determine the starting lineup for the 30-lap feature.

Entry fee is $50 if paid by June 15 or $75 after that date. Drivers will not be required to remove their roof for the event.

Also running are Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. All applicable points will be awarded in the sanctioned divisions.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the draw closes at 6:30 p.m. and hot laps are at 7 p.m., with racing to follow.

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Family passes are $40. Pit passes are $25.
