U.S. 30 hosts 24th annual Abe Lincoln Memorial Sept. 18-19

COLUMBUS, Neb. – Abe’s U.S. 30 Speedway hosts its 24th annual Abe Lincoln Memorial with four IMCA divisions running on Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19 programs. IMCA Sunoco Late Models race for $615 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both for $515 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $315 to win on opening night. IMCA Modifieds are in the running for $1,015 to win their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier on Saturday. Stock Cars and SportMods also race for top checks of $1,015 while the Hobby Stock features pays $515 to win. At stake both nights of the draw/redraw weekend are IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national, regional and KMJ Performance State points. Registration fee is $25 and pit passes are $30. $250 Sunoco bonuses highlight features at three Nebraska venues this week

VINTON, Iowa – The paydays get even better this week for a trio of IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature winners. It begins Thursday evening at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus as the IMCA Late Model winner pockets an extra $250 courtesy of Sunoco Race Fuels. Friday night the bonus moves to Boone County Raceway in Albion. The final bonus of the weekend will be presented Saturday night at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk. Sunoco bonuses are being presented at IMCA Late Model sanctioned weekly tracks this year. Drivers are eligible for only one bonus during the 2020 racing season. If the feature winner is a previous Sunoco winner, the bonus moves to the next eligible position. 2020 winners have been Jeff Aikey at Independence Motor Speedway, Matt Ryan at 34 Raceway, Joel Callahan at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway, Eric Pollard at 300 Raceway, Justin Kay at Davenport Speedway and Dalton Simonsen at Marshalltown. IMCA will announce mid-week before the dates bonuses are to be awarded at each track.

COLUMBUS, Neb. – A top check for $1,000 and a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot are on the line July 25 at US 30 Speedway. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both race for $600 to win at the RE/MAX Realty-sponsored Thursday night show. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $450 to win, Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, E3 Spark Plugs Nebraska State and track points will be awarded. IMCA Late Models gain new Thursday home at Nebraska’s U.S. 30 Speedway

COLUMBUS, Neb. – Another sanctioned division has joined weekly race programs at one of the longest IMCA tenured tracks in Nebraska. U.S. 30 Speedway presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts adds the IMCA Late Model division to its regular Thursday shows. The 1/3-mile clay oval at Columbus is one of four newly sanctioned tracks in eastern Nebraska. “We sat down with officials from the other tracks and agreed to go with the same set of rules,” explained Bobby Lincoln, co-promoter at U.S. 30 with his wife Janelle. “It made sense to go with IMCA. Deschamp Shines in Stock Car Thriller at Nodak Speedway

(Apr. 27, 2025) — Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars took center stage at Nodak Speedway’s season opener, and the 3/8-mile “Playground of Power” delivered thrilling side-by-side action on a crisp Sunday evening. Chris Tuchscherer, the 2005 Williston Basin Stock Car champion and double-duty driver for the night, grabbed the early lead. However, two-time defending track champion Will Scheresky found a way around him by lap 4 and began pulling away before a caution slowed the field on the fifth circuit. On the restart, Gabe Deschamp — fresh off a win at Marshalltown’s Frostbuster earlier in the month — tracked down Scheresky and completed a bold move on the inside to take command on lap 6. The two would battle fiercely until another yellow interrupted the action. Deschamp nailed the restart and continued his dominance, but Mike Hagen soon emerged as a threat. (Apr. 26, 2025) — Myron DeYoung proved the high side was the fast lane at Crystal Motor Speedway, using a late-race move to claim his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win of the 2025 season — and extend one of IMCA’s most impressive streaks. With the victory, DeYoung has now won at least one IMCA Modified main event in each of the last 31 consecutive seasons, continuing a remarkable run that spans more than three decades.
