WaKeeney adds to IMCA history with 2024 sanction

WaKEENEY, Kan. (March 13, 2024) – A Kansas track rich in IMCA racing history writes another new chapter beginning in 2024. WaKeeney Speedway hosts five dates for five sanctioned divisions this season, beginning with the April 19-20 Buzzard Bash Dash. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts all return to the 3/8-mile clay oval in northwest Kansas. IMCA Modifieds have four points dates at Alabama’s Deep South Speedway

LOXLEY, Ala. (March 12, 2024) – Billy Roberson likes to build and make things happen. He’ll make things happen for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds with four dates this season at his Deep South Speedway. The IMCA division returns to the Loxley, Ala., speed factory for Saturday, March 30 and Friday, April 12, May 24 and June 7 race dates. “We’ve got a lot of people who started building these cars when they heard we were going IMCA,” said Roberson, retired from the road building business and going into his fifth year as sole owner, and promoter with Ryan Carpenter of the 3/8-mile oval. “We should have about 30 cars in the area. Batesville opens with inaugural IMCA Wimp Reed Spring Nationals

BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 12, 2024) – Batesville Motor Speedway remembers a former driver and tech inspector and two IMCA divisions get top billing during both nights of the inaugural Wimp Reed Spring Nationals. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $1,500 to win and a minimum of $200 to start Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 features at Batesville. Also at stake is Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Tow is $50 and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Regional and Arkansas State points will be given. HAYS, Kan. (March 12, 2024) – The 12th annual Sunflower Classic brings five IMCA divisions to the traditional season opener at RPM Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 to win and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility both Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30. Muscatine Mall race car show set for March 16

Last year’s show was very well attended with a good sized group of race cars on display. New link connects drivers to IMCA contingency awards

VINTON, Iowa (March 6, 2024) – A few clicks on the keyboard is all it will take for drivers in any IMCA division to make themselves eligible for contingency awards to be given for the 2024 race season. Drivers can click here to go to the form, which is also on the IMCA website using the forms menu, to complete the process in a matter of minutes. Drivers will be asked to indicate the make of cylinder head, shock and spring they compete with this season, and attach a picture of their car displaying required decal placement. “This is a quick and easy one-stop process,” said IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm. “No paperwork is involved and drivers can make themselves eligible for point fund shares and contingency awards and then focus on racing.” Decal packets are mailed from the IMCA home office daily.
