Emerson, Marolf score wins on busy Legends Night at Farley
By Jerry Mackey FARLEY, Iowa (June 17) – Farley Speedway honored the legends of local dirt track racing as more than 200 former drivers, family and friends gathered in the Palace Ballroom prior to the evening’s racing program. The first race of the night was the running of the Out-Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Model feature that was rained out a week earlier. The 25-lapper belonged to Johnny Emerson as he motored to an impressive win. Jeremiah Hurst ran second ahead of Tyler Bruening. In the regularly scheduled race program, the Out Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Models brought the night to a close with a 25-lap main event run caution free in seven minutes. Nick Marolf shot to the front and rode the high side of the slick track to an impressive win. Hurst scored another second place finish ahead of Tyler Droste.
