Madden scores third Stuart win of season

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 26) – Corey Madden raced his way to victory lane at Stuart Speedway for the third time this season, topping Wednesday’s IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock main event. Nick Foster and Chuck Madden Jr. were on the front row for the start and Madden Jr. led rookie Miciah Hidlebaugh and Foster over the first two laps, with Corey Madden getting to third on lap three. Two more circuits saw Madden get to second as Madden Jr. continued to lead. By lap six, the brothers were side-by-side and Corey was able to get the advantage on lap eight. KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sweet Manufacturing marks a decade of IMCA sponsorship this season, renewing a contingency award program that benefits Modified and Late Model competitors. Confident in lapped traffic, Callahan collects Benton County Fair Deery Series feature win

VINTON, Iowa (June 27) – Lapped cars didn’t bother Joel Callahan. He figured if he had to get past them, so did everybody chasing him for the lead in Thursday’s Deery Brothers Summer Series main event at Benton County Speedway. Callahan made the most of four restarts before midway of the 40-lap IMCA Late Model tour feature after starting ninth, reeling in Jeff Aikey and leading the last 16 circuits for the $2,000 victory, his Deery career sixth and first since July 7 of 2016. “It’s always good to win. We had a good car and the cautions helped. It seemed like every caution I was able to gain a couple spots,” Callahan said following the county fair show victory. Aikey, winner of the previous tour race at Maquoketa Speedway, had started from the pole and set a blistering pace in the early going. STUART, Iowa – The top prize for IMCA Modifieds will be $2,000 while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $1,000 to win at Stuart Speedway’s Tuesday, July 2 Ron Little Memorial. The fourth installment of the Arnold Motor Supply Midwest Madness Tour is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event for the Modifieds. The Modified main event pays a minimum of $150 to start, the Stock Car feature a minimum of $125. Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout cut short due to curfew

By Ben Deatherage BANKS, Ore. – The track crew of Sunset Speedway Park battled the weather Wednesday, June night, but the curfew came before the scheduled Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout main event could be started. The feature will be held at the end of the night at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon on Friday, June 28. There will be no racing tonight (Thursday) but Willamette Speedway will host a driver appreciation party, presented by FinishLine Graphics. Thirty-nine cars made the journey to Sunset Speedway Park, representing Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada and North Dakota as well as British Columbia The starting lineup for Friday’s makeup event will be: Row 1, Collen Winebarger; Travis Peery. MSD gives awards in five IMCA divisions, Deery Series

EL PASO, Texas – Drivers in five IMCA divisions as well as the Deery Brothers Summer Series are in the running again this season for awards from MSD. The El Paso, Texas, manufacturer gives product or product certificate awards to IMCA Modified, IMCA Late Model, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod competitors. Park Jefferson Iron Cup pays $1,500 to IMCA Modified, Stock Car winners

JEFFERSON, S.D. – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars both battle it out in $1,500 to win main events at Park Jefferson Speedway’s Monday, July 1 Iron Cup. The sixth annual Iron Cup is presented by J&J Fitting and the Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Also on the card are IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods racing for $700 to win, Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win and the Sprint Series of Nebraska. Drueke delivers Sprint win at Eagle

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 25) – Tyler Drueke celebrated a Duros Dent Works IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car victory on Party Time Tuesday at Eagle Raceway. Drueke took over the lead following a lap three restart; Trevor Grossenbacher moved up to second with nine laps to go but wasn’t able to deny Drueke a second win this season at Eagle. Anthony Roth raced from 12th starting to top the Hoosier Tire IMCA Modified main. Jeff Ware extended his Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock winning streak to six, leading the last two circuits after the front two cars got together and spun into the infield. Gunnar Pike became a two-time Sam’s Club IMCA SportMod winner.

Dodge City Raceway Park mid-season championships this Saturday

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. – The dirt will be flying at Dodge City Raceway Park this Saturday night as the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas hosts the Mid-Season Championships. With the title chases all heating up, the Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock will all battle it out. Saturday’s action that gets under way at 7:30 p.m. also offers $5 admission for those that are members of a church group and wearing their group’s apparel. Otherwise, general admission is $12 with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
