Seidler Scores Stock Car Finale at Mandan; Hellman Clinches Title on Tie-Breaker

By Becca Pelkey MANDAN, N.D. (Aug. 22, 2025) — The points battle in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars at Dacotah Speedway was razor-thin between Geoff Hellman and Matt Dosch, with just one point separating the two entering the final race of the season. Hellman’s night started rough after a heat race incident, putting extra pressure on the feature. Cautions flew early and often, helping both Hellman and Dosch work their way toward the front. Up ahead, Marlyn Seidler — who came up short the week prior — grabbed the early lead. Hellman mounted a charge, racing Seidler side by side while Dosch lurked in third. Hellman took control on lap eight, but Seidler wasn’t finished. The veteran fought back, retaking the lead with five to go and pulling away to his second win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, both coming at Dacotah Speedway. The drama wasn’t over. Behind Seidler, Dosch and Hellman waged their own battle — not only for second place but for the track championship. At the line, Dosch [Read More]

By D.J. Johnson SARVER, Pa. (Aug. 23, 2025) — The Peluso Roofing Sprint Spectacular at Lernerville Speedway, featuring the Allegheny Sprint Tour presented by Renewal by Andersen Replacement Doors and Windows, brought together seventeen IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars from across the region. AST regular Jacob Gomola (eleventh in points) and Jim Pattock (nineteenth) were also in the mix. The twenty-lap feature lined up with Hunter Hite on the pole and PASS standout Steve Kenawell Jr. alongside. Heavy hitters filled the next two rows, including Weaver Jr. and Jeremy Kornbau in row two, with Vivian Jones and Gomola in row three. Trouble struck immediately when Weaver Jr. got sideways in turn four, collecting A.J. Barton. Barton continued, but Weaver’s night was over. On the complete restart, Hite jumped out front, but Kenawell slid by to lead the opening lap. By lap two, Bittner had already charged into the top five from his eleventh starting [Read More]

By J.M. Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas (Aug. 23, 2025) — The South Texas IMCA Modified Series rolled into I-37 Speedway for a 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event that featured a family storyline right from the start. After the redraw, the Dinsmore brothers — Logan, a series championship contender, and Cameron, a rookie in just his first half season of IMCA Modified racing — lined up side-by-side on the front row. At the drop of the green, Logan Dinsmore jumped out front with Jared Maupin in close pursuit, followed by Colin Carroll, Cameron Dinsmore, and Johnny Torres. Maupin quickly turned up the pressure, showing the nose low in turn one on lap two and getting alongside the leader the next time around. Logan fought back in turns three and four to hang onto the point, and the duel raged for several more laps before Maupin finally completed the pass in turns three and four on lap eight. From there, Maupin stretched his advantage while the battle behind him shuffled, with Torres moving up to fourth past [Read More]
