Four dates for IMCA RaceSaver Sprints added at Southern Oklahoma Speedway

ARDMORE, Okla. (Jan. 26, 2023) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car drivers asked for more dates at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. They’ll get four of them in 2023. The winged division joins four Saturday night shows at Ardmore this season, on April 22, May 13, June 24 and July 8. At stake at each of those shows will be IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Oklahoma State points. IMCA.TV inked as presenting sponsor, Clash on the Coast adds more awards

BAKER, Fla. (Jan. 26, 2023) – The Clash on the Coast has signed on IMCA.TV as its presenting sponsor while adding awards from another four marketing partners for its inaugural run. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win at Feb. 27 and 28 shows at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, and March 3 and 4 shows at Southern Raceway in Milton. Purses each night total $7,500 with a minimum of $100 paid to start. Drivers competing all four nights of the Clash on the Coast are eligible for shares of a $10,000 point fund. Chaz Baca topped the rain-delayed but caution-free Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event, earning $1,000. Career win number 88 for the defending track and state champion, already Fast Shaft All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible, came ahead of Brady Bjella and Brandon Beckendorf. Tim Ward’s 10th place run was just enough to give him the Winter Nationals title. Veterans Curt Lund and Mike Albertsen tussled ‘til midway of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car headliner, before Dylan Thornton motored by. (Jan. 13, 2023) – Despite the date, the Friday night IMCA.TV Winter Nationals was a lucky one for a quintet of IMCA drivers, the feature winners in their respective main events. The third different leader in his Friday the 13th feature, Kollin Hibdon took charge in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified headliner just before midway and led to the finish for his second $1,000 payday of the 2023 Winter Nationals. Already Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible, Hibdon crossed the stripe ahead of Thursday winner Jacob Hobscheidt and Jake Pike, who had swapped the lead over the first eight circuits with Tony Toste. Arizona transplants Chase, Shelby Alves take charge at South Dakota’s Interstate Speedway

JEFFERSON, S.D. (Jan. 16, 2023) – Chase and Shelby Alves originally relocated to South Dakota for new race opportunities of their own. Tennessee sanction is first for IMCA STARS Mod Lites

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 16, 2023) – The second season of competition for the Tennessee Mod Lite Racing Association will be its first under the IMCA sanction. Seventeen race dates at four tracks in Tennessee, and a fifth in Kentucky, are scheduled during the 2023 IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season. Sanctioned events in both states will be the first for the IMCA STARS Mod Lite division. Home track Clarksville Speedway hosts eight of those shows, starting with opening night on March 10. Lexington 104 Speedway and Camden Speedway each have three dates, Crossville Speedway two and Kentucky’s Paducah International Raceway one. “We like being part of a national organization. Thursday’s 25-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature was a caution-free affair and Nebraskan Jacob Hobscheidt conquered the field after dealing with traffic at midway, earning $1,000 and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Jeremy Mills was the runner-up, with third going Andrew Pearce. Gregory Muirhead led from the start of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event. Zachary Madrid challenged the Texas racer shortly after a lap four restart, the first of five stoppages during the contest. Former driver, flagman returns as new promoter at Boyd Raceway

BOYD, Texas (Jan. 12, 2023) – He’s taken the checkers and he’s thrown the checkers at Boyd Raceway. Now, Matthew Yates’ next job at the Texas race track will be writing the checks.
