Moser Makes Most of 2025 Opportunities with Four IMCA Track and Tour Championships

By Bill Martin THORNTON, Colo. (Jan. 19, 2026) – By making the most of his opportunities, Ryan Moser made his way into the IMCA history book. Winner of three of just 13 Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod starts close to home in 2025, the Thornton, Colorado, hotshoe finished no worse than fifth in any of those outings. That consistency translated into a quartet of championships, track crowns at I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan and Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke, and in both the Colorado Alliance Tour and the Great Plains IMCA Tour. Two-division star and Sunoco IMCA Stock Car National champion Kelly Shryock, and fellow Northern SportMod speedster Colton Blankenship were the only other drivers with four local crowns to their credit in 2025. “We usually get around 20 nights in, but it seemed like we had a lot of rainouts. Still, everything kind of just worked out,” said Moser, agreeing that the stars and all the circumstances aligned in his favor. Ryan Moser raced to a rare accomplishment, winning four local championships – two track [Read More]

Probst Finds Victory Lane at Britt in Hobby Stock Main

By Chad Meyer BRITT, Iowa (July 18, 2025) — Friday’s racing action at Hancock County Speedway brought the Hobby Stock Clash of the Titans to the Britt coliseum. Cory Probst made the most of his first trip to the track this season. Drawing the third starting spot in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock main, he battled early with Josh Sidles before taking control and leading the rest of the way to victory. Sidles held off a hard-charging Josh Monson to finish second.  Probst now has 21 wins in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region in 2025. The top six from each Hobby Stock main qualified for the night-ending Clash of the Titans, a 12-lap dash that paid $500 to win. Josh Monson wasted no time grabbing the lead and drove off to win the Clash for the second straight year. Jeremy Wegner was runner-up, while Oliver Monson completed the top three. Shryock Scores Another Britt Stock Car Win The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars kept fans on the edge of their seats. After a mid-race restart, Parker [Read More]

Long runs at front lead Olson, Franzen to victory lane in SportMod qualifiers

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2024) – After long runs at the front, Tony Olson and Jarett Franzen made their plans to go dancing. Olson led all but the first two laps in winning his Monday night qualifier and will start on the pole of Saturday’s IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s main event for Northern SportMods at Boone Speedway. Franzen was scored first across the stripe all 25 circuits of the second qualifier, outrunning hard-charging and defending champion Jake Sachau the final time around the track, and will start at the front of the middle row. One hundred and seventy-six Northern SportMods vied Monday at Iowa’s Action Track. Olson qualified for a career record 12th Big Dance, beating Joe Docekal to the checkers by three tenths of a second. “We threw it up top and the car was amazing. This is awesome,” he said.  Docekal would fail compression in post-race tech and be disqualified while Taylor Kuehl gave up her eighth place finish to run for a better starting spot on Tuesday. Fitz, Fisher fast in victories at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (June 1, 2024) – Some nights you’re just fast. Trevor Fitz and Joren Fisher proved that Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. Fitz dominated much of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by Wright Way Trailers and Fisher wasted little time making it to the front of the main event for IMCA Hobby Stocks presented by iHeart Radio. In the Modified 20-lapper, Fitz pulled away at the drop of the green and built a lead in excess of four seconds before the caution flag waved just shy of midway. On a couple ensuing restarts, Fitz again assumed command and fought off brief challenges from Cody Laney to score the victory. It was his first at The Bullring. Laney, Troy Cordes and Troy Morris III, who all started mid-pack, completed the top four. Fisher started outside of row four in the Hobby Stock headliner, but was challenging for the lead within the first circuit of that 15-lapper. He assumed command a short time later after a battle with Michael Kimm, and then drove away [Read More]
