Willamette readies for mid-season championship night 

By Ben Deatherage LEBANON, Ore. – Racing at Willamette Speedway in 2016 nears the midway point. The famed 1/3-mile clay oval will host the annual Mid-Season Championship Night, presented by Les Schwab Tires, on Saturday, July 16. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are on the card. Pit gates will open up at 4 p.m. and racing is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Ladies Night is Saturday at Cottage Grove 

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – After a disappointing cancellation due to rain, last weekend, Cottage Grove Speedway returns to racing on Saturday, July 16.  It will be BMD Night, with the local Bohe­mia Mining Days festivities taking place the same weekend, as well as Ladies Night. The special promotion for Ladies Night is that all ladies ages 18 and older, get into the races for free.  Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are on the evening’s program. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the front gates open at 4 p.m. Racing starts at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Dubuque Speedway posts IMCA Late Model bonus 

By Jerry Mackey DUBUQUE, Iowa – Dubuque Speedway has added purse money to the Sunday, July 17 Out-Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Model main event. Thanks to sponsors, Pro Care Auto of Dubuque and Associated Real Estate Counselors of Pres­ton, Late Models will be gunning for a $900 first place prize. In addition, a $100 bonus will be paid to the 15th place finisher. Racing action will get underway at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the high-banked 3/8 mile oval.

Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge set for West Liberty

By Jerry Mackey WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – This Saturday night, July 16, racing action at West Liberty Raceway will feature a special event for the iWireless IMCA Late Models. The Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge will award $2,000 to the winner of the 40-lap main event for the Late Models. In addition to the Late Model special event, a full program of Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Mach-1 Sport Compact racing will be held on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds ½-mile West Liberty oval. Hot laps will take to the track at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 7 p.m.

Farley to host Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge 

By Jerry Mackey FARLEY, Iowa – On Friday, July 15, Farley Speedway will host a special night of racing action featuring the Out-Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Models. The Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge will headline the program with the Late Models battling it out on the 3/8-mile dirt track for 50 laps with $2,000 going to the winner. In addition to the Late Models, Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks will be racing. Action gets underway with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing to follow.

Driver appreciation, free grandstand admission Friday at Farley

By Jerry Mackey FARLEY, Iowa – Farley Speedway will host a full program of IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing action this Friday, July 8, featuring free grandstand admission on Driver Appreciation Night. The 3/8-mile dirt oval will host six classes of race cars headlined by the IMCA Late Models. Hot laps get underway at 7 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.

Fireworks follow final checkers at Atchison County 

By Rick Staley ATCHISON, Kan. – Fireworks follow the final checkers Friday night, July 1 at Atchison County Raceway. Intermission sees an adult scavenger hunt on the infield for cash and prizes. If paid grandstand attendance is 500 or more, the track will draw a ticket number and award $750 to one very lucky fan. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars headline the IMCA Speed­way Motors Weekly program. Pit gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. Admission for fans 13 and older is $12, for kids ages 6-12 $6 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30 or $15 for ages 5-12; all minors must have a release waiver signed by both par­ents.

Arlington Raceway collects for Sibley County Foodshare 

ARLINGTON, Minn. – Arlington Raceway collects non-perishable food items for Sibley County Foodshare during its Saturday, June 25 Jam The Stands and Jam The Trailer Salute to Agriculture Night. Fans get $1 off, with a maximum of $10, for each donated food item. All regular weekly divisions will be in action and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded. Halfway to Dodge City titles … chase continues Saturday night

(June 23) – This Saturday’s H&H Roofing Night at Dodge City Raceway Park marks the halfway point of the 2016 season at the state-of-the-art 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas. IMCA hotshoes Nick Link, Kevin Tabor, Michael Pepper and Cody Davis are in the driver’s seat for 2016 track championships, but there is still plenty of time for major changes to take place. Saturday’s H&H Roofing Night action that goes green at 7:30 p.m. includes Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Fast Friday coming up at Cottage Grove

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. ­– The second Fast Friday of the season is Friday, June 24 at Cottage Grove Speedway. General admission for fans ages 13 and up will be $5. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are on both Fast Friday and the Saturday, June 25 Log­gers’ Cup cards. The IMCA Modifieds are coming off of a very busy schedule with the recent conclusion of the Wild West Shoot Out. Cottage Grove Speedway has already had 10 IMCA Modified events with an already impressive win list. Mark Wauge is still the driver with the most triumphs, at three, including one of the Wild West Modi­fied Shoot Out races.  Single race winners include Craig Hanson, Jake Mayden, Curtis Towns, Collen Winebarger, Kinzer Cox, Jesse Williamson, and 2016 Wild West Shoot Out cham­pion Kellen Chadwick.
