Hatlestad Holds Off Late Charge for Arlington Modified Win

(May 24, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds provided a thrilling main event at Arlington Raceway, with multiple cautions and challenges keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Chad Porter jumped out to an early lead and set the pace through the opening laps. But when a caution flew on lap six, Porter was among those who had trouble navigating traffic, opening the door for Clint Hatlestad. Hatlestad seized the opportunity and took over the lead after the restart. Another caution on lap nine tightened the pack once more, but the Glencoe driver remained strong up front. Trent Loverude applied heavy pressure late, drawing to Hatlestad’s rear bumper just before another caution bunched the field for one final sprint. Fryer Rallies for Modified Win, Proposes in Victory Lane

By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (May 24, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds headlined the night at Maquoketa Speedway with a $1,000-to-win special that also served as a qualifier for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational. Freeport, Illinois driver Jaden Fryer began the night by drawing pill number 100 out of 100, placing him deep in his heat race lineup. After a disappointing sixth-place finish in the heat, Fryer rolled off 11th for the 25-lap main event. Using the extreme low groove to his advantage, Fryer steadily worked his way through the field and grabbed the lead from Spencer Diercks late in the race. He then held off a final-lap challenge from Diercks to secure his first victory of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Burke Charges Top Shelf for First Boone Win Since 2023

California’s Braden Claborn jumped to the early advantage, steadily working the bottom of the track while leading the field. But the spotlight shifted to Altoona’s Chris Burke, who rim-rode the cushion and reeled Claborn in after starting five spots back. (May 17, 2025) — WaKeeney Speedway brought the curtain down on the John Fose Memorial/Wall of Fame Weekend with a Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature that lived up to the occasion. Jeremy Frenier took command early, storming to the lead as the field settled in behind him. But Daniel Gottschalk soon reeled him in, making the pass after a few circuits to take over the top spot. As the race reached the midway point, a four-car shootout began to take shape with Gottschalk, Frenier, Kyle Rohleder, and Dakota Sproul all in the mix. Gottschalk’s time out front was cut short when Rohleder powered to the lead, but Sproul was just hitting his stride. Methodically working the track, Sproul closed in and made a dramatic last lap pass on Rohleder to secure his second Jet Racing Central Region victory of the season. Electrifying Charge to Front Nets Price BAPS Win

Four years and nine months after he last visited victory lane in a River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series feature, Price returned Sunday, after an electrifying charge through the field from 11th starting position. With temperatures hovering at a warm 86 degrees, the atmosphere was electric, and the fans were treated to a wild night of sprint car racing that saw Nick Tucker of Spanaway, Washington, take the win in dramatic fashion. Last month at Selinsgrove Speedway, the Watsontown veteran led a good part of the feature only to be passed by Doug Dodson for the win. For the second week in a row, the River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series feature at Selinsgrove Speedway came down to a duel between Logan Spahr of Lewisberry and Kruz Kepner. Last week, Kepner got to visit victory lane; this week, Spahr earned the trip. The 2023 PASS champion, Spahr battled the “hometown” racer through the middle circuits of the 20-lap event before pulling off the decisive pass for the lead on the backstretch of lap 14, just before the leaders hit lapped traffic.
