Mackenthun wins 100th on final night of season at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (Sept. 26) – History was made on the final event of the season at Arlington Raceway as Dan Mackenthun won for the 100th time in his IMCA Sunoco Stock Car career. Jeff McCollum who won his 100th career feature in the division last year, battled Dan Mackenthun throughout the event. Mackenthun was a bit too anxious as he jumped the start and a yellow came out putting him back two positions. When the race restarted, Matt Speckman took the lead but McCollum was on the move. Cars were three-wide going into the corners. By lap three, McCollum had the lead and lap by lap, Mackenthun was reeling him in. By lap 12, Mackenthun got by him to take the lead. Curtain falls at Dodge City with Soderberg Memorial

(Sept. 26) – The curtains came down on the 2015 season at Dodge City Raceway Park with Brendon Gemmill, Jamie French, Angel Munoz and Reagan Sellard earning Saturday IMCA feature wins. Past track champion Gemmill worked forward from his 12th starting position to capture his second Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified win of the year atop the 3/8-mile DCRP clay oval. With Jimmy Brozek racing into the lead from the second row outside on the opening circuit, Gemmill went to work on the topside and surged into the lead at the midway point. Once out front, Gemmill moved to the bottom and drove away to put away his tenth DCRP win over the past four seasons. The parity continued in the IMCA SportMod ranks with French wiring the field to become the 12th different winner in as many events this season. Noll notches third straight Canyon win

KENNEDALE, Texas – All four IMCA main events pay $1,500 to win at Kennedale Speedway Park’s Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 2-3 Showdown special. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods all chase $1,500 checks at the ninth annual event. RPM Fall Nationals special headlined by IMCA Modifieds

HAYS, Kan. – Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $5,000 to win and a minimum of $400 to start their main event at RPM Speedway’s Oct. 1-3 Fall Nationals. That feature is a qualifying event for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Also on the card at Hays are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars racing for $3,000 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $2,000, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $1,500 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $300. Outlaw’s OctoberFest boasts $5,000 IMCA Modified payday

MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Outlaw Motor Speedway’s Oct. 22-24 OctoberFest brings Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified drivers to Muskogee in pursuit of a $5,000 payday. The Saturday, Oct. 24 feature is 60 laps and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier, with a minimum of $400 paid to start and a $150 entry fee. An open practice is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. Qualifying starts on Friday, Oct. 23 with last-chance qualifying and the main event on Saturday. Grandstand admission is free for the practice night and $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under both race nights. Pit passes all three nights are $30 or $50 for Friday and Saturday. Transponders can be rented for $5. IMCA Modifieds return to Jamestown’s Stock Car Stampede special

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Sept. 24) – Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds return to the Stock Car Stampede program at Jamestown Speedway this weekend, racing for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Heat races begin on Friday, Sept. 25 with “B” features preceding the Saturday, Sept. 26 main event, a qualifier for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Belleville Motorsports North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded.
