Mallicoat Motors Away to Modified Money on Night Two of Texas Showdown at I-37

Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas (Jan. 8, 2026) — When the $1,250-to-win, 20-lap IMCA Modified main roared to life for night two of the Texas Showdown at I-37 Speedway, Jared Maupin and William Gould stayed side by side into turn one. Gould drifted up slightly in turn two but came off the corner better to lead ahead of Maupin, night-one winner Cody Laney, and Izac Mallicoat going three-wide for second. Mallicoat was able to catch and pass Gould for the lead before a spin in turn four brought out the yellow. On the restart, Mallicoat, Gould and Laney got away while Maupin ran side by side with Dean Abbey. Mallicoat quickly began to check out, leaving Laney and Gould tied at the rub rails for numerous laps. Starry Stars in Stock Cars for Opening Night of Texas Showdown at I-37

By J.M. Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas (Jan. 7, 2026) — After a short winter break, I-37 Speedway, just south of San Antonio, returned to action with a huge four-day show, the Texas Showdown. The event features IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars on the ¼-mile, semi-banked dirt oval, with strong early-season payouts. Extra money is also up for grabs for any driver sweeping all four nights in the two Speedway Motors IMCA classes. The start of the 20-lap IMCA Stock Car feature saw Beau Collins and Cody Leonard stay side by side into turn one, but it was Collins who gained the advantage off turn two. Cameron Starry was able to get by Leonard for second, with Leonard settling into third ahead of Boone Evans and Mason Martin. IMCA’s contingency programs are built around long-standing partnerships with manufacturers and sponsors who support drivers throughout the season. Completing the Contingency Form ensures that this support is properly directed to eligible competitors based on their on-track performance. Available at www.imca.com/contingencies, the form allows IMCA to properly link drivers with participating sponsors and register competitors for reward programs offered throughout the season. Drivers who complete the form are eligible for contingency awards tied to on-track performance across all Speedway Motors IMCA-sanctioned divisions. Vowan Earns Third Mod Lites of Arkansas Series Crown

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Dec. 20, 2025) — The Mod Lites of Arkansas presented by Beach Veterinary Service officially wrapped up the 2025 season with its year-end banquet at Corky’s BBQ just days before Christmas. An IMCA Special Series within the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites division, the Mod Lites of Arkansas completed its fifth sanctioned season, traveling to tracks throughout Arkansas and neighboring states while delivering exciting Speedway Motors IMCA competition. During that tour, Bryce Vowan captured his third IMCA Special Series championship in the past five years. The Marion–West Memphis driver opened the season with a podium finish at the series’ inaugural visit to Batesville Motor Speedway. IMCA TV Revenue Share Program Pays Back Big to Racers in 2025

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (Dec. 17, 2025) — The IMCA TV revenue sharing program continued to put money back into racers’ pockets in 2025, matching last season’s payout levels while expanding to more tracks and rewarding strong weekly support across the country. Fueled by IMCA TV Replay Subscription viewership of weekly and special events, the program once again turned digital exposure into direct financial benefits for drivers. More than 600 drivers qualified for IMCA TV bonus checks during the 2025 season. Revenue was generated from replays of weekly and special events at 54 tracks broadcast by IMCA TV or its affiliates, then distributed to drivers finishing in the top three in point standings in each sanctioned division at qualifying facilities. NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series Crowns 2025 Champion Lamphere at Series Banquet

(Dec. 13, 2025) — The Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance held its annual points banquet Saturday evening at the Wysox Volunteer Fire Department, celebrating the 2025 season and recognizing top performers throughout the year. Series promoter and DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Eastern Region director Jake Maynard, along with series announcer Morgan Colegrove, led the evening’s program as awards were presented to the top-ten drivers in points and several special honorees. Dalton Maynard received the Evan Canfield Best Appearing Car Award presented by M.R. Graphix, while A.J. Hunsinger earned Most Improved Driver honors.
