Modified Madness on Memorial Weekend at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – Modified Madness is set for Friday, May 22 at U.S. 36 Raceway and the three IMCA divisions running have an increased payout for this special event.  IMCA Modifieds headline the program, along with the Wayne Hicks Memorial Shootout for the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars.  Modifieds are racing for $1,066 to win and $125 to start their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. The Wayne Hicks Memorial Shootout pays $1,066 to win and $100 start. To add to the fun, the Sprint Cars are racing for $750 to win and $150 to start.  As drivers prepare for race day, they will hit a track that has seen some change over the last week. Benton County Speedway starts season Sunday with Fast Shafts All-Star ballot qualifier

VINTON, Iowa – Four IMCA divisions will be on the track, on the big screen and on pay per view when Benton County Speedway opens for the season this Sunday, May 24.  IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 and a spot of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot at The Bullring while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both chase $400 top checks and the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature pays $300 to win.  IMCA.TV broadcasts the event, which features the first All-Star ballot qualifier of the year in Iowa.  No grandstand seating will be sold and a maximum of 10 people admitted with each car in the pit area. Security will be on the grounds to enforce social distancing. All social distancing guidelines must be followed. Park Jefferson’s Memorial Duels boast $1,000 top prize for IMCA Modifieds

JEFFERSON, S.D. – Park Jefferson is the place to be for the fourth annual Memorial Duels this Saturday, May 23.  The Duel sees the first Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier of the year at Park Jeffer­son Speedway for IMCA Modifieds. Paying $1,000 to win and $150 to start, the best of Siouxland’s IMCA Modifieds will be on hand. Joining them for their first IMCA points event are the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Drivers are asked to register at Park Jefferson International Speedway on MyRacePass.  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. with spectator gates opening at 5 p.m. and hot laps at 6:15 p.m. Seven hundred spectator tickets are for sale. Five IMCA divisions on Crawford County opening night card

DENISON, Iowa – Five IMCA divisions see action under the Friday night lights when Crawford County Speedway hosts its opening night event of 2020.  IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts run at Denison on May 15, chasing IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, state and track points.  Drivers in all divisions are asked to register ahead of time through the link on the track Facebook page. A maximum of 10 people can accompany each race car and pit passes will be purchased at the pit gate; driver sign-in will be completed at the score tower. Social distancing will be followed and it’s recommended that participants wear masks or other appropriate facial covering. No grandstand seating will be sold.  Pit gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Green flag flies Friday at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The first green flag of the season flies this Friday at Davenport Speedway, with three IMCA divisions on the May 15 card. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Late Models and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods will be featured at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, state at track points will be awarded. No spectators will be allowed in the grandstand and a maximum of 10 people will be allowed with each car in the pit area. Social distancing will be in effect and track officials recommend that masks be worn when drivers and/or crew are away from their area in the pits.  Pits open at 3 p.m. and hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Opening night set this Saturday at Boone Speedway

BOONE, Iowa – Iowa’s Action Track opens this Saturday with four IMCA divisions on the race night card. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms North­ern SportMods chase IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly racing National, regional and state, but no track points when the green flag flies at Boone Speedway on May 16. Working with IMCA and following CDC social distancing guidelines permitted by the State of Iowa, Boone Speedway will be able to race with only pit-side attendees. Each participating race car will be allowed a total of 10 members, come and join your favorite driver in the pits. Fans will also be able to watch the race live via pay-per-view on the all-new IMCA.TV.   Registration for the draw/redraw is required and can be done through the MyRacePass link on the track raceboone.com website.  Updates on specific guidelines and procedures will be posted on social media and the website.  Pit gates open at 1 p.m., hot laps are at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Sprint Series of Nebraska opening at US 36 Raceway, New Raceway Park

OSBORN, Mo. – The Sprint Series of Nebraska will be heading South to US 36 Raceway in Mis­souri on Friday, May 15 and then will head North on Sunday, May 17 to The New Raceway Park in Jefferson, S.D. “We are excited to finally get to kick off the first two IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series of Nebraska Races,” says Sprint Series of Nebraska coordinator Racine Hadan. “Race tracks have been hit very hard here in Nebraska with all of the COVID-19 restrictions. IMCA starts fourth decade at Fairgrounds Speedway Cortez with 3-day show

CORTEZ, Colo. – A fourth decade of IMCA racing at Fairgrounds Speedway Cortez begins with a three-day show Friday through Sunday, May 15-17. “It’s been overwhelming. The response we’ve gotten for the Covid Clash has been amazing,” Race Director Rowdy Briggs said of early-entry numbers for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, IMCA SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. “We have 139 pre-registered now and know of more that are coming.” Pre-registered IMCA drivers for what will rank as one of the biggest events held at Cortez hail from half a dozen states and additional parking has been added to accommodate those race teams. Three IMCA divisions in action this weekend at Southern Oklahoma

ARDMORE, Okla. – Three IMCA divisions see action this weekend at Southern Oklahoma Speed­way.  Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace will be among the IMCA Modified contenders on the Friday, May 1 opening night card while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods both run Saturday, May 2.  In compliance with CDC and local health guidelines, both the number of entries and the number of spectator tickets sold will be limited each night.  Pit passes are $35 for all divisions; pit passes and spectator tickets are only available online, through MyRacePass and accessible through the track website.  Drivers must print off pit pass vouchers and exchange it for a wrist band at the pit gate. Similarly, anyone who buys spectator ticket(s) must provide a voucher and photo ID for grandstand entry.
