Belec Leads the Way in the Modifieds at Colby

(July 18, 2025) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds closed out Friday’s program with a 15-lap feature event that began with Danny Keller and John Fabrizius on the front row. Fabrizius paced the field early and led the opening circuit, but ‘90s standout Mike Bainter stormed to the point on lap two, leading for the first time since his return to racing last season. Eddie Belec and Dakota Sproul wasted no time charging to the front, taking control by lap three. Belec held firm out front the rest of the way, even as lapped traffic allowed Sproul to close the gap late in the race. Belec stayed smooth to notch his second Jet Racing Central Region win of the season—both coming at Thomas County Speedway. Sproul settled for second, followed by Dylan Sherfick in third. Reinwald Returns to Victory Lane in Modifieds at Outagamie

(July 18, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway kicked off with Russ Reinwald jumping to the early lead, looking poised to cruise to a win. But smooth sailing wasn’t in the cards for Reinwald, as Suamico’s Johnny “The Hitman” Whitman charged from sixth to second by lap three, setting up a showdown between two seasoned veterans. A lap five caution bunched the field, and the second half of the race turned into a thrilling display of contrasting lines—Reinwald up top, Whitman glued to the tires down low. In the end, Reinwald held strong and fended off Whitman for his first victory of the season at Outagamie and in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Cody Schroeder rounded out the podium in third. Muth Masters Modified Midweek Mayhem at Cottage Grove

(July 16, 2025) –– Brett Muth thrilled his hometown fans with a determined 25-lap victory in Wednesday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Cottage Grove Speedway, the second race of the 2025 Midweek Mayhem Series. The triumph marked his second win of the season in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. Muth grabbed the lead on the opening lap and looked strong early before the caution waved on lap two. The race honors the memory of Dave Riley, a beloved racer and dedicated supporter of grassroots dirt track competition. Luke Bird showed the way early, but Tony Olson quickly moved into the top spot and looked strong until Kyle Olson made his presence known in the top three just a few laps in. As the race progressed, the Olsons pulled away from the field while Brady Hilmer settled into third. Bombardo Outduels Maleski in Wild North Central Hobby Stock Finish

Josh Maleski jumped to the lead from the drop of the green and stretched out a sizable advantage over the field. Former track champions Mark Johnson and Brandon Bombardo methodically worked their way through traffic and settled into the top three in a caution-free 15-lap affair. Lapped traffic came into play with two laps to go, allowing Bombardo to close the gap to Maleski’s rear bumper. The two went at it hard in the final corners, slicing through traffic and getting together in turns three and four. (Jul. 12, 2025) — The Ellis County Fair featured two nights of intense IMCA racing at RPM Speedway, and the stars came out to shine as Zach Olmstead, Tyler Watts, and Dakota Sproul all pulled off weekend sweeps in their respective divisions. Saturday’s program was particularly special, featuring a multi-groove track and the emotional season debut of Brooke Russell, who honored her late uncle Danny with a tribute wrap on her car. Serbus Scores Third Straight Dan Grams Memorial at Arlington

(Jul. 12, 2025) — Trevor Serbus captured his third consecutive Dan Grams Memorial RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature victory Saturday at Arlington Raceway — and his fifth win of the 2025 season overall, with four coming at his home track. Brandon Allen led the first lap from the pole before a caution came out when the no. 24R car spun exiting turn four. On the restart, Serbus found speed on the high side and charged through the field to take the lead. Once out front, he set a blistering pace. Brett Allen and Brandon Allen battled for second before another yellow waved on lap six. Brett slipped back to seventh on the restart but quickly recovered and advanced back into second.
