Jennings wins again at Kossuth County

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (June 22, 2023) – McCain Jennings was not to be denied his third visit to victory lane this season at Kossuth County Speedway, when IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars took to the oval at Algona on Thursday night. Wayne Landheer was the early leader as a great battle played out over the first half of the race with Donovan Smith and Jennings contending. Landheer kept his no. 2 rig out front until five laps remained, when Jennings became the new leader. He then went on to capture his third win of the season at Algona as the race went green, white, checkered. Smith crossed the finish line in second place as Landheer was third. VINTON, Iowa (June 26, 2023) – Another 42 IMCA rookies will receive $100 Speedway Motors gift cards following career-first feature wins in their respective divisions. Waldvogel, Czarapata wire fields at Outagamie

(June 23, 2023) – Dylan Waldvogel started on the pole of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern Sport Mod feature and never looked back in racing to the checkers Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Cory Kemkes challenged Waldvogel several times but could never find a way around. Waldvogel led all 20 laps for his first win of the year. He was followed to the checkers by Kemkes, Chris Kuchta, Jordan Jahnke and Ryan Schmidt. Dan Michonski snagged the lead on lap one of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature but it was Brett Wenzel taking to the outside of the track to grab the lead on lap two. The only real challenge to Wenzel came on restarts as Chucky Forstner hung with Wenzel at times. In the end it was Wenzel fending off the field for the win. Gilman scores after fast start at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 21, 2023) – Multi-time and defending track champion Josh Gllman was the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified driver no one could catch Wednesday at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Gilman led Drew Janssen and Martin Bennett over the first half of the race. Bennett faded as Canadian driver Isaiah Geisel got to third with five laps to go but there was no touching Gilman as he sailed to the 3.5 second win. Janssen finished second with Geisel third. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars saw Jeff Mueller use his front row start to rocket out to the lead. Buck Schafroth gave chase for the entire 20 laps but there was no catching Mueller on this night as he cruised to the feature win. Schafroth finished second with third going to Miciah Hidlebaugh. July 1 deadline for IMCA rookie of the year applications

VINTON, Iowa (June 21, 2023) – Eligible drivers who have not already done so have until 4:30 p.m. CST Saturday, July 1 to run for rookie of the year. IMCA names national Modified, Late Model, Sprint Car, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Mod Lite, Northern and Southern SportMod, and Sport Compact rookies of the year and regional Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock rookies of the year. Drivers who have not raced 10 or more times in their respective divisions and meet all other eligibility requirements who did not indicate rookie status when filling out their 2023 IMCA license application can call the home office at 310 472-2201 extension 215 or email Director of Points and Membership Virginia Lindsey at vlindsey@imca.com. Speedway Motors is among the IMCA sponsors giving awards to rookie competitors again this season, presenting $100 gift cards to those drivers following career-first feature wins. Arlington IMCA Stock Car checkers are first for Eckblad

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 17, 2023) – Another first-time IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner made his way to victory lane at Arlington Raceway Saturday night. Gillenwater scores first win of season

By Brian Neal DONNELLSON, Iowa (June 16, 2023) – Lee County Speedway took a night to highlight the career of area racer Ernie Derr on Friday as the car he drove in his final races was on display and also make some laps around the track during the evening’s activities. Jim Gillenwater led all 18 laps in scoring his first win of the season at Donnellson in the caution-free Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main. John Oliver Jr. was runner-up and Adam Birck took third. Kile, Strothman headline winners’ list at CJ Speedway 

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (June 16, 2023) – The weatherman provided another beautiful night Friday for racing action at the CJ Speedway, located on the Louisa County Fairgrounds in Columbus Junction.  The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds took the green for their 18-lap feature with Kurt Kile splitting the front row starters, the Brau brothers, Kile took the lead that he would not relinquish. Outside fourth row starter Jarrett Brown worked to the front quickly and tried to catch the quick running Kile but although he was able to close on the leader, Brown was unable to mount a serious challenge for the lead. Kile took the win ahead of Brown and visitor Zach Dockter from Norwich, N.D. Bartz, Arneson back in Outagamie’s victory lane

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 16, 2023) – Jordan Bartz and Eric Arneson both raced their way to the winner’s circle Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Fresh off a heat race win, Chris Pigeon paced the opening laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. Pigeon ran the cushion as Bartz went to work down low. Bartz made the pass for the top spot on lap four and never looked back, cruising to her first feature win of the season and a clean sweep on the night.
