Logan Anderson Wins Modified Season Opener At CJ Speedway

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (Apr. 18, 2025) — Logan Anderson made the move this year to the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified class after racing several seasons in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod division and he put his finely tuned Performer Chassis in victory lane on opening night at CJ Speedway. Anderson proved to be the class of the strong field in taking the win over some very well-established veterans at the Louisa County Fairgrounds facility. Anderson took advantage of the pole position draw and beat Troy Cordes to turn one on the opening lap and Anderson went on to lead the feature green to checkers for his second score of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Woodhull Raceway To Sanction IMCA Modifieds In 2025

(Apr. 16, 2025) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds are returning to “New York’s Toughest Bullring” in 2025, as Woodhull Raceway becomes part of the Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing program with five sanctioned events scheduled from May through September. Located in the Southern Tier of the Empire State, the 1/3-mile oval will host one IMCA Modified event each month, highlighted by the prestigious Sean Lias Memorial on July 26. The Memorial, now relocated to Woodhull, will pay $1,037 to win and $125 to start, and serve as a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifier. Points earned at each event will count toward IMCA track, New York State, DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region, and National championships. “There are a lot of people around the area with IMCA Modifieds sitting in the garage,” said promoter Nicole Brewer. “We’ve had interest from drivers and fans to bring them back. Nezworski Wins Late Model Feature at Davenport opener

By Jeffery Struck DAVENPORT, Iowa (Apr. 11, 2025) – Despite a chill in the air, the Koehler Electric Season Opener at Davenport Speedway, provided a great night of racing. That was until you made it to the tech area. A number of drivers were guilty of infractions throughout the evening. Some even changed the outcome of races. Bryce Garnhart dominated the Sunoco IMCA Late Model feature. Bryce led all twenty-five laps and finished more than seven seconds ahead of the second-place car. Unfortunately, he came across the scales fifteen pounds light in post-race inspection. That handed the win to Andy Nezworski, who started in seventh. (Apr. 12, 2025) — The 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Crystal Motor Speedway delivered a dramatic finish during the track’s 2025 opener, ultimately awarding Austin Harnick the win after a post-race penalty. Kody Johnson, the 2017 Tri-City Motor Speedway champion, edged out Nathan Paitrick to lead the opening lap before a caution slowed the field. Chase Rosebrugh jumped into second on the restart and powered around Johnson to take command on lap 5. Rosebrugh, the 2023 DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region Rookie of the Year, set a blistering pace and opened a sizable gap over the field. Joe Gomez, the defending track champion, took the early lead before being pressured by Jay Wells before a caution slowed the pace a few laps in. The 25-lapper featured a stacked field of Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, National, and multi-time track champions. Austin Stamm, aboard the Timmy and Marsha Current provided No. 12T, and Dylan Thornton led early until Janssen, driving the Danny Meier and Trent Guest-owned No. 127, took over on lap 5. Cook Claims Stock Car Thriller

By Ben Deatherage KENNEDALE, Texas (Apr. 12, 2025) — Cameron Cook powered to his second win of the season in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Kennedale Speedway Park, holding off late challenges in a 20-lap barnburner. Christian Miller took the early lead before Damon Hammond slipped under him to lead lap 3. Cook, however, surged down the backstretch and used the top groove to edge past Hammond and take command the next time around the ¼-mile oval. Hammond, the defending KSP title winner, and Cook, the 2022 Texas State champion, both looked strong before cautions on laps eight and ten reset the field. That opened the door for Brett McMillin and Jerrett Bransom to take charge of podium positions. Bransom, a three-time KSP Stock Car champ, made a series of bids to pass Cook using the bottom groove.
