Bittner Opens Clinton County Season with Victory

MILL HALL, Pa. (Apr. 12, 2026) — Timmy Bittner of nearby Beech Creek thrilled the hometown crowd by claiming the season opener for the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars at Clinton County Speedway.

Polesitter John Braim of Turbotville took the lead at the drop of the green flag, with Jacob Gamola of Seneca moving into second. Sixth-place starter Timmy Bittner quickly worked his way into second by the completion of lap two. By lap 10, Braim was leading Bittner, Gamola, Josh Fox of State College, and Ryan Lynn of Hollidaysburg.

As Braim encountered lapped traffic, he was able to stretch his advantage over Bittner by a few car lengths. In the laps that followed, Bittner reeled him back in, searching for an opportunity to make a move. On lap 19, that chance came when Braim bobbled in turn two, allowing Bittner to charge underneath and take the lead as the leaders worked through traffic.

With a few laps remaining, a caution flag waved, giving Bittner a clear track but also setting up a restart for Braim to try and reclaim the top spot. On the restart, Bittner led Braim, Gamola, Jeff Weaver Jr., and Fox.

Bittner crossed the line first to claim his first win of the season, followed by Braim and Gamola. Weaver and Fox completed the top five.

Heat race wins went to Bittner and Pattock.

Stremme captures NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series checkers at Clinton County

(Sept. 15, 2023) – A 20-car field made the trip to Clinton County Speedway on Friday night to contest the next round of the NY-Penn MCA Modified Series presented by Close Racing Supply and presented by M. R. Graphix. Ken Schrader and David Stremme were part of the field looking for the winner’s payday and it was Stremme who would ultimately earn that $1,000 check plus Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Bittner sprints to Founders Cup, Nittany 40 sweep

(June 30-July 1, 2023) – Timmy Bittner had the best weekend of his IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car career over the weekend, capturing two hallmark Laurel Highlands Sprint Series events at Clinton County Speedway. Bittner won the Founders Cup event Friday and then put his name in the history books by capturing the coveted Nittany 40 Championship on Saturday. Owen Dimm took command of the field early on Friday in the race honoring speedway founders Del Shank and Tedd Reitz as Zach Rhodes advanced to second and the eighth starting Bittner to third. Bittner was in second when lap five was scored, caught Dimm for the point on lap eight and then built a respectable lead while navigating lapped traffic. Dale Schweikart took over second on the 19th circuit and came within striking distance but had to settle for runner-up honors. Clinton County Speedway to Crown RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car Champion in ’26

(Jan. 16, 2025) — Clinton County Speedway will take the next step in its Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing involvement in 2026 by crowning a RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car track champion. Traditionally, Clinton County Speedway’s role in the IMCA program has come through various IMCA Sprint Car Special Series events throughout Pennsylvania. Beginning in 2026, the 1/3-mile clay oval will offer a full points-paying schedule, giving drivers the opportunity to chase track, Pennsylvania State and national points. While Central Pennsylvania is often known for its high-speed half-mile “speed factories,” Clinton County’s bullring-style layout delivers nonstop action and side-by-side racing that has made it a favorite among fans and competitors alike.
