Midstate Machine to Provide Four Championship Engines for 2025 IMCA Super Nationals

VINTON, Iowa (July 28, 2025) — A thrilling new chapter will be written at the 2025 Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, as Midstate Machine steps up in a big way to provide championship-level horsepower for all four of Saturday’s feature winners.

In a significant expansion of their long-standing support, Midstate Machine of Des Moines, Iowa, will build brand-new powerplants for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified, Sunoco IMCA Stock Car, Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock champions crowned on September 6.

“This is a major development for Super Nationals,” said Carson Becker-Graham, Marketing Integration Director at IMCA. “Midstate Machine has always delivered incredible engines, and now four deserving champions will be able to take home more than just trophies — they’ll take home top-tier equipment.”

John Davis of Midstate Machine expressed his appreciation for being involved in such a meaningful effort.

“We’re proud to be part of such a big race,” Davis commented. “I really want to thank all the parts manufacturers who generously contributed to these engine builds. Without their support, this wouldn’t be possible.”

The championship engines will be constructed with support from some of the most trusted names in the industry. That elite lineup includes Engine Quest, Kevko Racing, Edelbrock, Engine Pro, EPW, NPW, Speedway Motors, Manley, Competition Products, Melling Engine Parts, ARP, Summit Racing, Eagle Specialty Products, Bullet Camshafts, and Comp Cams.

With this new program in place, the champions of the most prestigious event in IMCA racing will not only earn their place in history — they’ll leave Boone Speedway with winning engines built to power even more success in the future.

Mallicoat Breaks Through for Modified Win at Boone Season Opener

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Apr. 12, 2025) —Eighteen-year-old Izac Mallicoat thrilled his hometown crowd at the 2025 Boone Speedway season opener, scoring his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win of the campaign Saturday night. Mallicoat took off from the green and built a comfortable lead in the 20-lap caution-free main event. Meanwhile, 2007 IMCA Super Nationals champion Todd Shute slotted into second and tried to keep pace. The battle for second intensified as Jeremy Mills, an eight-time track title winner at Hancock County Raceway, applied pressure on Shute. Mills eventually worked his way into the runner-up spot on lap 14. Despite dealing with lapped traffic in the closing laps, Mallicoat never missed a beat, crossing the line with a healthy advantage. 2024 Prelude to the Super Nationals

Cornhole champions crowned at sixth annual Scorezit tournament

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 29, 2024) – It will be a keen eye, just the right touch and maybe a bit of luck that determines the first champions crowned at the 42nd annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Scorezit, a division of Wehrs Machine and Racing Products, returns as title sponsor of the sixth annual Super Nationals cornhole tournament, slated Sunday, Sept. 1 at the NAPA Fan Zone on the grandstand side of Boone Speedway. Entry fee is $40 with a 100 percent payback to the top six teams in the double elimination tournament. Payouts are based on a 60-team field with the championship pair earning $972 plus a Scorezit scorekeeper courtesy of Scorezit, with $712 for second, $486 for third, $256 for fourth, $78 for fifth and $52 for sixth. Teams should begin checking in by 9:30 a.m. that day, with the first bags tossed competitively at approximately 10 a.m. Registration can be done under the Scoreholio App. The tournament is named Boone Iowa IMCA Super Nationals BYOP Cornhole Tourney.
