Meidinger Scores First Career Stock Car Win at Dacotah

MANDAN, N.D. (July 18, 2025) – When the green flag waved in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Dacotah Speedway, Shawn Strand charged to the lead entering the first corner. An early caution regrouped the field, and on the ensuing restart, Matt Dosch drove past Todd Carter for second. Dosch then set his sights on Strand, and the two raced door-to-door for the top spot.

Meanwhile, Jason Meidinger was on the move from the 13th starting position. With just four laps to go, Meidinger powered by Dosch for second and went to work on the leader. He dove low under Strand and the two veterans ran side-by-side in the closing laps. Meidinger held the advantage in turns one and two, while Strand maintained momentum through three and four.

At the line, it was Meidinger claiming his first career Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature win in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Strand settled for second, with Dosch completing the podium.

Keller Charges to Fourth Modified Win of 2025

Elijah Puckett led early in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event and built a comfortable lead as the battle for second raged behind him. Marcus Tomlinson worked past Darrell Parsons to take over the runner-up spot as Mandan points leader Jeremy Keller sliced through the field from the 11th starting position.

Keller caught and passed Tomlinson with 11 laps to go, then quickly began to reel in the leader. With the help of lapped traffic, Keller caught Puckett and took the lead with six laps remaining. He held off the field through a late caution to pick up his fourth Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season, three of which have come at Mandan.

Tomlinson finished second, while Puckett held on for third.

Oktoberfest fans toast Seidler after IMCA Modified win at Dacotah finale

(Oct. 1, 2022) – Veteran Marlyn Seidler led green to checkered in the final race of the season Saturday at Dacotah Speedway, earning $1,000 for his Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win at the Oktoberfest show.  With 180-plus drivers on hand for the fifth annual special, Seidler and Jeremy Keller quickly distanced themselves from the field before catching lapped traffic. Third running Shawn Strand closed in before a mid-race caution regrouped the field and then led to a string of cautions. Seidler survived each and every restart to lead all 30 laps for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying win over Keller and Strand. Other $1,000 feature winners were Trent Grager in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Rich Pavlicek in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Brandon Beeter in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. First IMCA.TV Dakota Tour feature wins go to Hagen, LaBatte in finale at Mandan

MANDAN, N.D. (July 13, 2023) – Travis Hagen and Brendon LaBatte won first-ever IMCA.TV Dakota Tour features Thursday at Dacotah Speedway. Tim Ward and Rob VanMil, meanwhile, wrapped up tour titles during the aptly billed Championship Night show in Mandan. Hagen led the last 26 of 30 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified laps, earning $2,000. And LaBatte came out on top of what might have been the best race of the 34th annual tour, regaining the lead on the last lap and beating Dan Mackenthun to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers by a tenth of a second. That win was good for $1,000 and put LaBatte on the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational eligible list. Hughbanks scores sixth straight at Mandan

By Becca Pelkey MANDAN, N.D. (Aug. 16, 2024) – There’s no doubt about it, Zach Hughbanks is on a roll. The Minot hotshoe won his sixth straight Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature Friday at Dacotah Speedway. Defending track champion Krys Yost led early as Alex Thompson, Benjamin Burke and Hughbanks raced hard for second place. Hughbanks shuffled into the third position and quickly challenged Thompson for second. Hughbanks passed Thompson and set his sights on the leader. On lap five, Hughbanks passed Yost for the lead as Yost fell into the clutches of Thompson and Burke. As the laps wound down, Burke patiently worked his way toward the front, passing Yost for third and Thompson for second. Unfortunately for Burke, he ran out of time and had to settle for second place ahead of Thompson and Yost.
