WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (July 16, 2025) — With a little help from the weather, the Muscatine County Fair opened with a full night of racing on Wednesday. This was the first racing action the West Liberty Raceway half-mile had seen in 2025. The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature went all twenty laps caution-free.

Spencer Diercks of Davenport would lead the entire distance and was never challenged in the race, finishing with a six second advantage over second place. The victory was Diercks’ eighth win of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region.

Second through fifth was where the action took place during the main. Kurt Kile, with the home field advantage, finished in the runner-up position. Chris Zogg took third.

Plummer Breaks Through with First SportMod Victory of Season

Tim Plummer of Norway, Iowa, captured the win in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods. While the scoring may show that Plummer led all fifteen laps, it was not an easy win. The pressure on the leader came from Matt Fulton Jr. early in the race and then from Trey Rock in the final laps.

A restart on lap twelve gave Rock a chance to pull alongside the leader. He was unable to complete the pass and settled for second. Fulton held on for third. The win was Plummer’s first of the 2025 campaign.

Eckrich dominant in Deery Series win at West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (Aug. 24) – He’s been consistent throughout the 33rd annual Deery Brothers Summer Series. On Saturday night, Andy Eckrich was dominant. After showing off his speed in winning his IMCA Late Model tour heat race, Eckrich started fifth in the main event at West Liberty Raceway, reeled in early leader Kyle Hinrichs on the ninth circuit and stayed in front to the finish of the 35-lapper. The $2,000 victory was the career ninth and first of the season for Eckrich, the current Deery point leader. “It was really special,” said Eckrich, a three-time runner-up this year. “I have a lot of family and local fans who were here to see me win. IMCA drivers join Darkside for spring specials at Maquoketa, Cedar County

MAQUOKETA, Iowa (March 13, 2024) – IMCA drivers will race for big checks and All-Star Invitational eligibility at a pair of Darkside Promotions events this spring. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds are on the card both nights of the March 29 and 30 Nippy 50 Super Late Model show at Maquoketa Speedway, running for $1,500 to win on Friday and $2,500 to win on Saturday. Racing starts at 6 p.m. Friday when entry fee is $30, pit passes are $40 and grandstand admission is $25. And on Saturday, entry fee is $50, pit passes are $45 and spectator admission is $35. Muscatine County Fair show brings five IMCA divisions to West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – Muscatine County Fairgoers can enjoy the midway and a livestock exhibit or two before five IMCA divisions take to the West Liberty Raceway half-mile on Wednesday, July 21. IMCA Sunoco Late Models race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Modifieds for $700, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both for $400 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win that evening. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded. There is no entry fee. Admission to the fairgrounds is $6 and pit passes are $20. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and free for kids ages five and under. Muth Masters Modified Midweek Mayhem at Cottage Grove

(July 16, 2025) –– Brett Muth thrilled his hometown fans with a determined 25-lap victory in Wednesday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Cottage Grove Speedway, the second race of the 2025 Midweek Mayhem Series. Rage 40 Returns to Fayette County Speedway with $2,000 Top Prize on July 24
