ARLINGTON, Minn. (Jul. 12, 2025) — Trevor Serbus captured his third consecutive Dan Grams Memorial RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature victory Saturday at Arlington Raceway — and his fifth win of the 2025 season overall, with four coming at his home track.
Brandon Allen led the first lap from the pole before a caution came out when the no. 24R car spun exiting turn four. On the restart, Serbus found speed on the high side and charged through the field to take the lead. Once out front, he set a blistering pace.
Brett Allen and Brandon Allen battled for second before another yellow waved on lap six. Brett slipped back to seventh on the restart but quickly recovered and advanced back into second. A third caution was displayed the next lap when Jeremy Snow went off the track but was able to rejoin the field. With just one lap to go, Bill Johnson dove underneath Brett Allen and took over the runner-up spot, leaving Allen to finish third.
Curt Lund Breaks Through for First Stock Car Win of 2025
Ryan Grochow led the first seven laps of the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event, withstanding a first-lap caution after a tire was hit in turn four and rolled onto the front stretch. Dakota Robinson and Brent Uecker applied early pressure, with Uecker using Ford horsepower to take over the top spot on lap seven.
Charlie Rustman then made his move into second but Grochow battled back to reclaim the position. A late caution on lap 17 occurred when Andrea McCain spun off turn two and came to rest near the outside wall. On the restart, tight racing resulted in Tim Pessek getting turned into an infield tire, sending his car airborne in a scary rollover. He was uninjured but done for the night.
The delay set the stage for Curt Lund, who had methodically worked his way through the field. Lund powered into the lead and held off Dan Mackenthun in the closing laps. Mackenthun got around Uecker for second but couldn’t run down Lund, who scored his first win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region.
Probst Charges to 20th Hobby Stock Win of 2025
Ben Davis had a strong start in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature, taking the lead on lap two in a caution-free contest. But all eyes were on Cory Probst, who started ninth and was flying through the field.
By lap six, Probst was challenging Davis for the top spot. On lap 10, Davis pushed wide in turn two, opening the door for Probst to slip underneath and take over the lead. From there, he never looked back, scoring his sixth win of the season at Arlington and 20th overall in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Davis held on for second, with Jordan Robinson in third.
Schumacher Snatches Late Sport Compact Victory
Alan Lahr was in control for much of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature, leading from the drop of the green. But it was Gary Schumacher who delivered the biggest surprise of the night.
Schumacher, who started fifth, made a last-lap charge and moved Lahr up the track to make the winning pass in the final set of corners. The victory was Schumacher’s fourth of the year at Arlington. Lahr settled for second, while Dale Gatton rounded out the top three.
Broddy Enter Bests SportMod Battle in Final Five Laps
The Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature was action-packed from the start, with an early caution sending Jeff Carter and Scott Koepp to the work area and Jeff Lloyd to the back of the field.
Ben Enter took control at the restart with Cole Hesse and Eric Larson in tow. Another yellow flew after Joshua Pettis hit a tire in turn two. On the following green, Larson lost his hood in turn three, bringing out yet another caution. That opened the door for Broddy Enter and Ben Reierson to engage in a five-lap battle for the win.
Enter prevailed at the stripe for his fifth victory of the season and second at Arlington. Reierson was second with Josh Appel finishing third.
Loverude Controls Modified Feature for Third Arlington Win
There was only one caution in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event when Jason Schroeder spun on lap five. After that, the race belonged to Trent Loverude.
Loverude took the lead early and never gave it up, keeping Dan Menk behind him the entire distance. Menk stayed close but could not find a way around. Clint Hatlestad finished third. The win was Loverude’s third at Arlington this year and fourth overall in the Razor Chassis North Central Region.
The event was broadcast live on IMCA TV affiliate Dirt Race Central. Catch every lap again with the IMCA TV Replay Subscription, available for just $24.99/month. Don’t miss Season 2 of The Boone Docuseries, now streaming exclusively on IMCA TV.
