Oliver Outduels Olson for Stock Car Supremacy at Benton County

VINTON, Iowa (Jul. 6, 2025)  John Oliver Jr. took top honors in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars on Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. Terry Dulin took command early as Kyle Olson moved into second. Brett Vanous had Olson in his sights as Oliver dove to the bottom groove and began his charge. Olson took over the top spot just before Oliver mounted his challenge.

The two drivers pulled away from the field in a thrilling duel as the laps wound down. Oliver slipped ahead and took the checkers first, earning his 10th win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and third at Benton County. Olson and Vanous followed to complete the podium.

Tony Olson Tops Tight SportMod Battle for Win

Tony Olson made his way to victory lane in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods. Olson and Josh Banes engaged in a side-by-side battle early in the event as Kyle Olson worked the top groove and moved into third. The pair of Olsons traded the lead back and forth for multiple laps.

Tony Olson emerged with the win, his second of the season at Benton County Speedway and ninth overall in 2025. Kyle Olson and Banes rounded out the top three.

Weepie Works to First 2025 Win in Hobby Stocks

Dalton Weepie took home the win in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks after a spirited three-wide battle. Michael Cheney led early with Kale Hemsley in hot pursuit. Hemsley took over the top position as Matt Brown and Weepie joined the fight, going three wide for the lead.

The trio continued to battle with Leah Wroten charging into the top four. Weepie powered ahead late and picked up the victory—his first win of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Brown and Wroten followed him across the line.

Rick Rallies Late for Second BCS Sport Compact Victory

Lukas Rick was the winner in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Trevor Forey led early while Devin Coghlan, Spencer Roggentien, and Cristian Grady gave chase. Coghlan looked strong up front until Roggentien surged ahead.

Rick, working the low groove, climbed through the field and into the top three. With just a few laps to go, he made the winning move and took the checkers for his second win of the season—both coming at Benton County Speedway. Roggentien, Grady, and Coghlan completed the top four.
