NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (June 14, 2025) – Jim Hagan proved dominant in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Lincoln County Raceway, piloting his no. 72H machine to a flag-to-flag victory from the pole position. The win marked his first of the season in EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region competition. Layne Bellm finished second, with D.J. Banks rounding out the podium in third. A full field kept fans on edge with bumper-to-bumper racing throughout the pack.
Jacob Olmstead Charges to SportMod Victory
Jacob Olmstead of Overton came from the eighth starting spot to take the lead on lap nine and never looked back in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod main event. He muscled his way through a competitive field to earn his second win of the season—both coming at Lincoln County Raceway. Joseph Cooper ran strong to finish second, while Colorado’s Douglas Beaman claimed third.
Zach Olmstead Bests Big Field of Hobby Stocks
Zach Olmstead made it a double victory night for the Overton-based Olmstead family, taking command of the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature on lap eight after starting tenth.
He held off Colorado’s Brayden Hilzer and fellow Overton driver Carson Hageman in a stacked field. The win was his third of the year at Lincoln County and his 11th overall in B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region competition.
Pedersen Outpaces Modified Pack
Dave Pedersen of Brady started second and led every lap in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. It was his second win of 2025 at Lincoln County and his second victory in the Jet Racing Central Region. Pedersen held off Brandon Clough for the win, with Ayden Steffens finishing third.
Schmidt Scores Sport Compact Victory
Justin Schmidt capped his night with a win in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature, edging out Kansas driver Nathan Vollbracht in a clean battle. The victory marked Schmidt’s fourth trip to victory lane this season at the North Platte facility.
