Hagan Hustles to the Front in Stock Car Feature at Lincoln County

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (June 14, 2025) – Jim Hagan proved dominant in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Lincoln County Raceway, piloting his no. 72H machine to a flag-to-flag victory from the pole position. The win marked his first of the season in EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region competition. Layne Bellm finished second, with D.J. Banks rounding out the podium in third. A full field kept fans on edge with bumper-to-bumper racing throughout the pack.

Jacob Olmstead Charges to SportMod Victory

Jacob Olmstead of Overton came from the eighth starting spot to take the lead on lap nine and never looked back in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod main event. He muscled his way through a competitive field to earn his second win of the season—both coming at Lincoln County Raceway. Joseph Cooper ran strong to finish second, while Colorado’s Douglas Beaman claimed third.

Zach Olmstead Bests Big Field of Hobby Stocks

Zach Olmstead made it a double victory night for the Overton-based Olmstead family, taking command of the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature on lap eight after starting tenth.

He held off Colorado’s Brayden Hilzer and fellow Overton driver Carson Hageman in a stacked field. The win was his third of the year at Lincoln County and his 11th overall in B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region competition.

Pedersen Outpaces Modified Pack

Dave Pedersen of Brady started second and led every lap in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. It was his second win of 2025 at Lincoln County and his second victory in the Jet Racing Central Region. Pedersen held off Brandon Clough for the win, with Ayden Steffens finishing third.

Schmidt Scores Sport Compact Victory

Justin Schmidt capped his night with a win in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature, edging out Kansas driver Nathan Vollbracht in a clean battle. The victory marked Schmidt’s fourth trip to victory lane this season at the North Platte facility.

Lincoln County goes Red, White, Boom!

(July 4) – Getting the chance to shine in front of an Independence Day crowd, four IMCA drivers punched their tickets to the winner’s circle at the Red, White and Boom Night of racing action at Lincoln County Raceway Saturday evening.  In the most exciting feature of the evening, Bob Chalupa was the early leader in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event. Chalupa relinquished the lead to fourth row starter Mikey Dancer on the sixth lap.  Dancer had to work through traffic to gain the lead and checked out once he got there. Colton Osborn encountered heavier traffic coming from his fifth row starting spot and ran out of real estate making a move for the lead as the checkered flag waved. Osborn’s efforts were rewarded with the IMCA Modified feature victory. Bellm begins building process at Lincoln County with five IMCA divisions

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (March 18, 2024) – Joe Bellm brings his 37 years of promotion expertise to a third track beginning this season, taking charge at Lincoln County Raceway. Five sanctioned divisions, the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts, run at the North Platte, Neb., venue, on eight dates complementary to those at Bellm-promoted El Paso County Raceway in Calhan and Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke, both in northeast Colorado. “We have had North Platte on our radar. Hodges take Lincoln County championship night honors

(Aug. 3) – Championship night played out in front of a packed house Saturday at Lincoln County Raceway.  Holding off all challenges, Cole Hodges captured the IMCA Modified feature after working his way into contention from a fifth row start position, taking the lead with just five laps remaining and then keeping David Murray Jr. at bay.  Jacob Olmstead led all but the opening circuit in winning another Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod main. Equally dominating, Casey Woken led all from the second lap on to earn the hard-fought IMCA Sunoco Stock Car victory with many heavy hitters trying unsuccessfully to catch up. Starting up front and staying up front, Zach Olmstead won the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature. Lonnie Lenser Jr. became the winner of the Mach-1 Sport Compact feature after the apparent top two finishers were disqualified in post-race tech.
