EAGLE, Neb. (Jun. 7, 2025) — After a wild crash in his RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main, Cole Wayman rebounded in dramatic fashion during the Days of Thunder Clash at Eagle Raceway with a thrilling charge to the front in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature.
Starting 10th, Wayman carved through a tight field and traded the lead multiple times with McClain Reed and Aiden Floyd. He ultimately used the middle groove to complete the winning pass with six laps remaining and never looked back.
Reed held on for second while early leader Floyd finished third. The victory marked Wayman’s third win of the season — all coming at Eagle Raceway.
Richards Makes It 5-for-5 in Hobby Stocks
Dillon Richards continued his dominance in Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock competition, collecting his fifth straight win at Eagle Raceway, 25th overall, and 17th of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region.
Starting 12th, Richards steadily worked his way forward before making a decisive move on Zach Gimpel in the closing laps. Gimpel, who led much of the early going, finished second after a strong run, while Trey Collins rounded out the top three.
Drueke Controls Sprint Feature from the Front
Tyler Drueke led every lap of the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature, fending off Adam Gullion and Billy Alley in a clean and competitive main event. Drueke set the pace early, hit lapped traffic by lap nine, and stayed smooth through a pair of cautions and restarts. Gullion moved into second during the final stretch, while Alley took over third. The win was Drueke’s third of the 2025 season — all coming at Eagle Raceway.
Thompson Edges Andersen in Clean Modified Duel
Nate Thompson and Dustin Andersen put on a smooth and respectful battle for the win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. Thompson made his move past Andersen on lap ten and never gave the position back, collecting his first victory of the season in the Jet Racing Central Region. Andersen finished a close second, and Shawn Harker made a solid late-race push to take third after starting 12th on the grid.
Vanover Capitalizes from the Pole in Stock Cars
Kyle Vanover took advantage of a front-row starting spot and led flag to flag in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Despite a series of cautions and heavy pressure from Tyler Jackson and Chad Andersen, Vanover never flinched. He protected the low line through multiple restarts and held off all challengers to grab his fourth win of the season at Eagle and sixth in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Jackson finished second with Andersen charging from 17th to place third.
