MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 30, 2025) — The RBF Electric/Mid States Boring-sponsored Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Marshalltown Speedway paid $1,000 to win, and it delivered in the excitement department. Tom Killen Jr. started on the pole, with Kolby Sabin to his outside. Killen led lap one before last week’s winner, Kevin Sather, worked past him and held the top spot for much of the race. Bradly Graham wasn’t going to let him run away with it. Graham reeled him in, battled side by side, and made the winning move with two laps to go. He beat Sather to the line to secure his first Marshalltown victory of 2025 and third win overall in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Eric Stanton completed the podium in third.

Carter Charges to Stock Car Win at MoTown

The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars brought plenty of action. Kyle Olson led the opening lap from the pole, but the field stayed bunched up with Olson, Austin Kaplan, and Jimmy Gustin racing hard in close quarters. Quietly but methodically, Cayden Carter piloted the Michael Peterson-owned no. 1X from eighth starting spot to the front. He tracked down Kaplan and made a bold move underneath to take the lead, collecting his first win of the year at “America’s Bucket List Track” and fourth overall in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Gustin was second, and Olson held on for third.

Grady Goes Back-to-Back in Sport Compacts

In the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts, Cejay Whisler and Kadin Gosselink led the field to green, but it was Mitchell Bunch who paced the opening lap. Bunch looked strong early but tangled with a lapped car and was black-flagged, ending his night. That handed the lead to Spencer Roggentien, who engaged in a thrilling battle with Cristian Grady. The two ran door to door until Grady edged ahead at the line, securing back-to-back feature wins at MoTown and his fifth victory of the season across three different tracks. Michael Garner finished third.

Livezey Earns First SportMod Win of the Year

The Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods saw Ryan King lead the field from the pole with Boe Jenkins to his outside. King held the point early as a series of cautions kept things tight. Fans were treated to some excellent side-by-side racing among Colton Livezey, Jenae Gustin, and Brayton Carter. Livezey would prevail in the end, beating Carter to the checkers for his first Marshalltown win of the year. Gustin was scored third.

Hibdon Rockets to Modified Feature Victory

The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds closed out the night. Kolton Osborn started from the pole with Dustin Kroening to his outside and led the opening circuit. But the star of the race was Kollin Hibdon, who came from ninth to the front and gained eight spots enroute to the win. It marked his second win of the season at MoTown, third in the Razor Chassis North Central Region, and fourth overall in 2025. Todd Shute finished second, and Cayden Carter, this time driving the Joe Ferguson-fielded no. 10C, was third.

George Dominates Mod Lite Main

The night kicked off with the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature. Jaxon Carr started on the pole alongside Joe Glick. Ben George wasted no time charging to the front, using the high line to lead lap one. He stayed there all 15 laps, fending off pressure from Austin Gray and securing his first win of the year at Marshalltown. Carr and Bryan Zhem dueled for third behind them, with Carr winning out for the final podium spot.
