IMCA Stock Cars will chase $5,000 top prize at Marshalltown Speedway’s King of the Highbanks

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 8, 2022) – The fabled highbanks of Karl Auto Group Marshalltown Speedway are the setting for the $5,000 to win King of the Highbanks special for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars next Thursday and Friday, April 14 and 15.

Stock Cars will run two sets of heats on Thursday with the top 10 in points locked into Friday’s main event. The King of the Highbanks winner earns a guaranteed starting spot in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. 

Stock Car entry fee for the weekend is $125. 

IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, with a $20 entry fee, both Friday and Saturday.

IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks both race for $500 and IMCA STARS Mod Lites for $250 to win each night. Friday’s Mach-1 Sport Compact feature also pays $250 to win.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, KMJ Performance Iowa State and track points will be awarded. 

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 7:15 p.m. both nights. Grandstand admission on Thursday is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, and $20 for adults and $15 for seniors on Friday. Kids 10 and under get in free to the grandstand and pit passes are $30 each night.

Pits open at 5 p.m. and an open practice is from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13. Pit admission is $15 and grandstand admission is free. 

First track points of 2022 will be awarded at the Ryan Ashton Racing season opener on Friday, April 22.
