FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (May 31, 2025) — Casco veteran Benji LaCrosse once again showed why his name is often mentioned among the G.O.A.T.s of local and regional dirt track racing during Saturday night’s program at 141 Speedway. LaCrosse pulled double duty and emerged triumphant in both the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and Sunoco IMCA Stock Car divisions, respectively.
LaCrosse ran the IMCA Stock Car feature first, where he started 12th on the grid of the 25 lap contest. Lacrosse marched through the field, reaching second place by lap eight. LaCrosse slowly chopped away at Collin Skindzelewski’s lead. LaCrosse motored past Skindzelewski on the high side at the race’s halfway point. LaCrosse was never headed and led the rest of the way to earn the win — his second in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region this season and first at 141 Speedway in 2025.
The Stock Car feature provided plenty of side-by-side racing and passing was plentiful on the clay oval, with Kyle Resch claiming second. Former track champion Josh Mroczkowski rounded out the podium.
Following that victory, LaCrosse quickly jumped from his Stock Car into his IMCA Modified, where he started 10th in the 25 lap event. Outside front row starter Don Scheffler jumped into the early lead, and was quickly hounded by Skyler Woods, who passed Scheffler for the top spot on lap 11.
LaCrosse had threaded his way through the field, moving up to 3rd by the eighth circuit. By the halfway point of the race, LaCrosse had chased down Woods and Scheffler by working the high line. LaCrosse wrestled the runner-up spot from Scheffler on lap 14, and two rounds later LaCrosse cruised by Woods on the top side to snatch the lead.
A pair of late yellows slowed the action, but LaCrosse held on to score his second feature win of the night — his third at 141 Speedway this season and fourth Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of 2025. Kewaunee’s Shawn Kilgore mounted a late race charge, slicing his way from his 11thstarting spot to close the gap on LaCrosse and place second. Johnny Whitman also followed suit, marching from 13th to finish third. Woods and Todd Dart finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
A pair of early yellows slowed the action of the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature. But on a lap four restart, Green Bay racer Robert Wittkopf grabbed the lead and never surrendered that spot and went the distance, winning his first feature of the season. Trailing Wittkopf at the checkers were Cody Rass and Coy Vlies in second and third.
Chilton’s James Reese emerged triumphant in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature. Reese started 11th and now has two wins at 141 Speedway this year. Brian Watzka Jr. was second and Justin Finlan was credited with third.
