US 30 Speedway hosts 25th annual Abe Lincoln Memorial Sept. 17-18

COLUMBUS, Neb. – Abe’s US 30 Speedway hosts its 25th annual Abe Lincoln Memorial with six IMCA divisions featured during the Sept. 17-18 special.

Opening night sees IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars race for $700 to win, with $515 paid to IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod winners and $315 paid to the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock winner.

On Saturday, top checks are $1,015 for the Stock Cars and Northern SportMods. IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Late Models both run for $615 top checks while the Hobby Stock feature pays $515 to win. 

There is a $50 registration fee. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded for both draw/redraw shows. Fifteen was the late track promoter’s car number during his own career, as well as the car number for each of his grandchildren who raced.

Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. Friday. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing follows the 7:55 playing of the National Anthem. 

On Saturday, gates and the grandstand open at 2 p.m. Hot laps are at 3:30 p.m. and racing follows the 4:25 playing of the National Anthem.
