Harris Clash returns to Deer Creek Speedway in 2020

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. – After a near record-breaking attendance to the 2019 Harris Clash, the 2020 Harris Clash date has been announced. The event will return to Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., for a third time on Aug. 4. This will be the 29th running of the event. 

Bob Harris, promoter of the Harris Clash, is looking forward to what the new year will bring. 

“We are thrilled to be returning to Deer Creek Speedway once again for the Harris Clash. The staff there is second to none and works with IMCA and our team to put on a tremendous show,” he said. “The implementation of the Race of Champions this year brought a new tradition to the Clash and we are excited to see how that race takes shape over time.”

The Race of Champions, a new part of the Harris Clash that featured a dash of past event champions, will be returning to the lineup in 2020.

The 2019 event featured a $1,200 to win Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and $3,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying IMCA Modifieds, yielding 140 cars from 14 states.

A complete payout and other details for the 2020 Harris Clash are yet to be determined.

First held in 1992, the Harris Clash is a premier event for Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod and IMCA Modified drivers from across the country, with a unique emphasis on racing manufacturers. More information can be found at www.harrisclash.com.
