Championship Night, Fan Appreciation Friday at US 36 Raceway 

OSBORN, Mo. (June 4) – Nineteen IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars were in attendance for Friday’s POWRi Drive to Zero United Rebel Sprint Series debut at Missouri’s US 36 Raceway and Jay Russell was the $1,000 Budweiser Shootout winner.  Russell and Jack Potter set the pace for the 25-lap feature, with Russell powering to the lead before a trio of early cautions.  Excellent side-by-side action followed amongst the top three cars, as Stuart Snyder slid to the high side with Russell and Kenny Potter just to the inside while Ty Williams began his march forward, moving into fourth. Potter and Snyder dueled for the runner-up position behind Russell as Williams and Mike Houseman Jr. challenged for fifth. Potter moved to second and began a charge on Russell before taking the lead. By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (May 20, 2022) – A pair of defending IMCA national champions were Central Auto Racing Boosters Night winners Friday at US 36 Raceway. IMCA STARS Mod Lites kicked off the evening with side-by-side racing throughout the pack of contenders. Defending national champ Dillon Raffurty swept the night, winning both his heat race and the feature. It wasn’t easy in the feature as Raffurty worked from the back of the field to take the lead at the halfway point and never looked back. Jeff Raffurty led early and battled with Kyle Guy until Guy made his move to finish second in the closing laps, moving Jeff Raffurty to third.  The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars saw Jay Russell dominate, winning both his heat and the feature. Russell set the pace after battling early with Jacob Dye and Jack Potter until Dye took a tumble down the front straight, bringing his night to an end. Jason Johnson was not only a great race car driver but dedicated family man and father. Matt Richards Racing has donated a Jason Johnson banner that all drivers will sign as they enter the pits. This signed banner will be auctioned to the highest bidder during our Intermission with all proceeds going to Bobbi and Jaxx to help with expenses. Any driver with items and memorabilia they would like to donate for this auctioned can contact Rick Staley 660 541-4378. A donation bucket will also be in the grandstands as well. Intermission will see a drawing for two bicycles donated by Hanes Racing and Wild Child Nation for two lucky kids.
