Supporting your local IMCA track provides theme for best appearing car contest at Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – The 150-plus venues from across the country and Canada that give weekly racers the opportunity to shine provide the theme for the Best Appearing Car contest at the upcoming IMCA Speed­way Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

Modified and Northern SportMod drivers coming to Boone Speedway for the Sept. 3-8 Super Nationals are en­couraged to enter cars with the Support Your Local Track theme. Golden Empire Towing of Bakersfield, Calif., gives $200 in cash to drivers of the winning cars in each division.

An official track logo must be displayed in a prominent location on the car.

“Super Nationals is the biggest event in the world for the weekly dirt track racer so the local track theme is something that allows racers to bring a piece of home with them,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Racers are proud of their local IMCA sanctioned dirt track and we want them to highlight that.”

“This is also a contest with a lot of latitude. Designs can and should be unique but drivers and graphics design­ers have to remember that required decals must be incorporated,” he added. “There are a lot of ex­tremely imaginative people in this field and I look forward to seeing what they come up with.”

Speedway Motors gives $100 gift cards to all drivers entering the contest while Sweet Manufacturing gives a steering box to the Modified winner.

Both winners will be announced during the week at Boone Speedway.

IMCA STARS Mod Lites have May 27-29 Cornbelt Clash dates

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 23, 2022) – IMCA STARS Mod Lites race for $500 to win each night of their Cornbelt Clash tripleheader over the Memorial Weekend. Features Friday, May 27 at Marshalltown Speedway, Saturday, May 28 at Boone Speedway and Sunday, May 29 at Stuart Speedway all pay a minimum of $100 to start. Ward, Dallon Murty deliver Saturday Prelude wins

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4) – Tim Ward and Dallon Murty will precede the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s with Saturday night Prelude feature wins. Ward led the last 21 of 30 laps in winning the IMCA Modified feature and $1,080; Murty caught Michael Jaennette with seven circuits left in the 30-lap finale at Boone Speedway, earning $800. One hundred and thirty Modifieds and 115 Stock Cars saw Prelude action while 49 STARS Mod Lites ran race of champions heats and their first night of Super Nationals qualifying. Already Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible, Ward started sixth, was running second by lap seven and was half a car length ahead of Joel Bushore when lap nine was scored. The only caution came on lap 23 to erase Ward’s big lead and he was just fast enough coming out of the final turn to outrun Cody Laney to the checkers. 2nd annual $2,500 to win King of the Katwalks IMCA Stock Car special set July 22 at Boone 

BOONE, Iowa (July 13, 2023) – The same great sponsors return to support the same great class at the second annual great event for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars at Iowa’s Action Track. Stock Cars run for $2,500 to win and a minimum of $250 to start at the Fox Welding/Vermeer King of the Katwalks presented by VanEaton Pork next Saturday, July 22 at Boone Speedway. Total purse for King of the Katwalks is nearly $14,000 with the winner becoming eligible to qualify for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. The runner-up earns $2,000 with $1,500 paid for third, $1,000 for fourth, $750 for fifth, $500 for sixth, $450 for seventh, $400 for eighth, $350 for ninth and $300 for 10th. Tow money is $75.
