JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 26) – Jay Noteboom trumped a stout field of 24 Artworks Graphics IMCA Modifieds to take home the top spot and $1,500 at Park Jefferson Speedway’s Memorial Clash.
At the jump, it was Chad Ten Napel jumping out to the early lead followed by Bob Moore and Chris Abelson. Eventually, Abelson wore down Ten Naple to take the point. Noteboom and Moore swapped the runner-up spot with Noteboom utilizing a crossover move to secure the runner-up spot.
Abelson, who appeared to have checked out and was possibly counting all $1,500 of the top spot, got loose between turns three and four and jumped the cushion. This allowed Noteboom to power away for his third consecutive victory and set the stage for a colorful post race interview with the new Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier discussing preferred driving lines around Park Jefferson.
Abelson worked his way back to second with rookie Todd Boulware finishing third.
Noteboom also moved his name to one away from Joe Kosiski on the all-time Park Jefferson winners’ list.
Jason Martin was the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car winner and Jason Ward paced the J&J Fitting IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.
Rusty Montague ruled the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods while Andrew Harris prevailed in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main.
Track officials were pleased to host members of the 185th Air Force Refueling wing as guests at the Memorial Weekend event.

JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 21, 2022) – Colby Fett put Park Jefferson Speedway’s Heartland Horsepower Nationals on his racing radar early this spring. After making sure he could get off work and seeing what the weather would do, he kept a top-flight field of Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods behind him and put $5,000 in the bank. Fett led the last 10 of 30 laps Tuesday night, outrunning the likes of Logan Anderson, Brayton Carter, Robbie Thome and Jared Boumeester to the checkers and the career-best payday. “We’ve been a bridesmaid a lot this year and I’ve gotten second in so many of these big races before, I just couldn’t believe it,” admitted Fett, runner-up in seven of his 17 starts leading up to the rich special at Park Jeff. “This was a big win for us and our team.” He’d taken the initial green flag from fourth, moved up to the outside of the front row following a first lap caution and then chased Boumeester for most of 20 circuits before finding his way to [Read More]
By Ben Deatherage JEFFERSON, S.D. (Jun. 15, 2025) — The Sunday night RTI Nationals brought a packed house to Park Jefferson International Speedway with a whopping $5,000 payday on the line for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars. And it was two-time South Dakota State champion Travis Barker who cashed in. Barker, who started seventh, muscled his way through a hard-fought 35-lap main event. Early on, Brady Wenzlaff controlled the race while three-time Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod winner, Johnathon Logue, and Devin Tripp waged a three-wide battle for the top spot. Tripp edged ahead on lap four and began to stretch his lead, but Barker closed fast. A lap 13 caution reset the field, and on lap 16, Barker nipped Tripp at the line to take over the top spot. Tripp countered by moving to the high side, only for another yellow to wave. That opened the door for 2015 IMCA Hobby Stock national champion Justin Luinenburg, who slotted into second. Luinenburg and Tripp fought hard to the [Read More]
