
$34,000 from engine auction added to purse shares at IMCA Super Nationals
BOONE, Iowa (September 20, 2023) – The auction champions’ engines added another $34,000 to the Saturday night purse paid at the 41st annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Engines that powered championship-winning rides of Dylan Thornton in the Stock Cars and Mike Smith both gaveled at $10,000, adding $344.83 to the take home pay for the main event qualifiers in both divisions. Jake Sachau’s Northern SportMod title-winning engine saw a $7,100 top bid, adding $244.83 to purse shares for the other drivers in that event.
