Batesville Motor Speedway to Host 30th Annual Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America IMCA Stock Car Championship Sept. 25–27

(Sept. 18, 2025) — The 30th Annual Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America IMCA Stock Car Championship returns to Batesville Motor Speedway on Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 25–27, 2025, with three nights of Sunoco IMCA Stock Car racing action and a $20,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start main event. The 3-day event kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 25, with practice at 7:00 p.m. and is followed by racing at 7:30. Drivers will compete each night with double heats and draw for positions on Thursday and Friday nights. Drivers will accumulate points and will run a nightly feature as well. On Friday, Sept. 26, we will follow the same format with drivers drawing for positions with double heats and a nightly feature to accumulate points. “Kruz Missile” Kepner Hits Target with PASS Victory at Selinsgrove

(Sept. 13, 2025) — Kruz Kepner doesn’t have much time to think about anything during the 10-minute ride from his home in Kreamer, Pa., to Selinsgrove Speedway, but he had a full week to think about being wrecked twice on the opening lap last weekend and wanting to erase the memory of that awful pair of races. His thinking — and his driving — did the job. Kepner scored his second Selinsgrove win of the season and fourth overall in River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series competition Saturday night, extending his lead in both the season’s PASS points standings and those for the track. Kepner started the feature in seventh and actually slipped back on the opening lap, but he quickly began to recover. Humblet Holds Off Hubbard in Virginia Sprint Series Thriller

(Sept. 13, 2025) — Chris Humblet made changes after his heat race that proved to be the right ones, as he flew to the win at Langley Speedway with the Virginia Sprint Series. Jerald Harris and Humblet paced the field to green, with Humblet jumping out first and Harris settling into second as Billy Hubbard quickly moved into third. Humblet stayed strong out front while Harris struggled with his tire choice, allowing Hubbard to get by and set his sights on the leader. As the laps clicked off quickly on the pavement, Humblet began working traffic, and with five to go, Hubbard had closed right in. With two laps left, Hubbard made a strong charge and got within a couple of car lengths, but that was as close as he would come. Humblet flashed under the waving checkered flag for his second win of the season at Langley, with Hubbard second and Matthew Leach third.

Weaver Wins Commonwealth Clash AST Feature at Lernerville; Kornbau Secures AST Championship

(Sept. 12, 2025) — The Friday portion of the Commonwealth Clash at Lernerville Speedway featured the Allegheny Sprint Tour and attracted 20 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car competitors to the Sarver oval. Kasey Weaver of Everett, Pa., led from the pole and never looked back, scoring his first career AST victory at Lernerville. Meanwhile, Hermitage’s Jeremy Kornbau wrapped up his first-ever Allegheny Sprint Tour championship. Weaver lined up on the inside front row, alongside second-year driver Hunter Hite. Weaver jumped out to the lead at the drop of the green, while Hite slipped back as Roman Jones moved into second. Trouble struck early when Timmy Bittner slowed on the backstretch and retired from the event. (Sept. 13, 2025) — Seabeck’s Craig Moore took the early lead in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature and used the high side on multiple restarts to hold off Zack Simpson, collecting his fourth Shaw Race Cars Western Region win of the season — all coming at Grays Harbor Raceway. Brenton Schnitzer charged forward from his 11th starting position and made a last-lap move around Simpson to secure second. Simpson, driving the Josh Muller-owned no. 3 car, settled for third. Ryan Wins The Race, Shrader Champion In Dramatic Finish At Antioch

By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2025) — Jason Ryan Jr. of Oakley won the 20-lap Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod main event in dramatic fashion Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. It was Ryan’s fourth win of the season, with half of those victories coming at Antioch, and he gained this one with the late-race misfortune of Kenny Shrader of Pacheco. Shrader, the point leader going into the night, suffered front-end damage while lapping a slower car with two laps remaining. Though he limped home to ninth, that finish was still enough to secure him the track championship. The championship night format put Shrader and Ryan on the front row, and Shrader bolted into the immediate lead ahead of Ryan and Trevor Clymens. Shrader steadily pulled away from the pack while Ryan and Clymens battled for second. By halfway, Shrader was slicing through slower traffic with precision, but on lap 17, contact with a lapped car left his machine crippled. Earlier in the night, a missing man formation honored longtime racer Greg Kastli, setting the stage for a memorable finale at The Bullring. Jeff Aikey found himself in victory lane for the second time of the evening, backing up an earlier Late Model triumph with a win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Jacob Snyder jumped out front early with Troy Morris III moving into second, but Aikey quickly worked his way to third, igniting a fierce three-car battle for the top spot. Maquoketa Speedway Set To Host “All Star Classic” Sept. 19-20

By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (Sept. 16, 2025) — The quick ¼-mile dirt track located on the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Maquoketa is set to host the first of two major fall races. The Maquoketa Speedway will present the “All Star Classic,” promoted by Darkside Promotions, this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19–20. Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20, will both feature complete programs with the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, and the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday and 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The final race of the season at Maquoketa Speedway will be held Oct. 16–18, when Darkside Promotions hosts the annual Iowa Dirt Nationals. Hatlestad Hustles to Jeff Rucks Memorial Victory at Arlington

(Sept. 13, 2025) — Clint Hatlestad took full advantage of his front row redraw position as he pulled away from the field on the start of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Arlington Raceway. A yellow came out when Mark Noble spun on lap three. On the restart, Jeremy Mills, who had started two rows behind Hatlestad, moved into second ahead of Chad Porter. Soon, Trent Loverude was challenging Mills, but contact on lap eight sent Mills into the infield and ended his night. Loverude kept going but lapped traffic kept him from making a serious bid at the lead, leaving Hatlestad a clear path to victory and the $1,050 Jeff Rucks Memorial win. Jones Rules Crystal, Scores $5,000 Great Lakes Nationals Victory

(Sept. 13, 2025) — Nate Jones of Alma cashed in big Saturday night at Crystal Motor Speedway, topping the $5,000-to-win Friesen Performance IMCA Modified Great Lakes Nationals. The 40-lap feature was Jones’ fourth victory of 2025 in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Eastern Region and his third of the season at Crystal. Aaron Raby paced the opening circuit before a caution slowed the action. On the restart, Jones worked the bottom groove to perfection, taking command and building a massive lead as he reached lapped traffic by lap 15. The advantage disappeared on a lap-29 yellow, but Jones was flawless when the race went back to green, then rebuilt his lead after another slowdown on lap 31. Veteran Jerry Hunt, the 2002 Crystal Lions Club Series champion, powered into second during that stretch, while defending race winner and Merritt Speedway champion Austin Harnick charged into third in the T.J.
