Hogge Stays Hot with Ocean Modified Win

(May 9, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Ocean Speedway saw Jonathan Hagio set the pace early on, until Jim Pettit II drove by after a restart. Bobby Hogge, in the Paul Gugliemoni provided no. 2 entry, then climbed into second and began to hound the rear of the leader. On lap 9 the duo was racing nose to tail, which then saw Pettit get turned to bring out a caution. Hogge, from Salinas, led the remaining distance to grab the win ahead of Robert Marsh and Cody Burke. Hogge’s third win of the season came at his third different track in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. Ryland Sweeps Soares Memorial with SportMod and Stock Car Wins at Antioch

(May 3, 2025) — Fred Ryland of Brentwood won the 20-lap Karl Chevrolet IMCA SportMod main event at Antioch Speedway during the Soares Memorial paying tribute to former promoters of the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds 3/8-mile oval. This was the second win of the season for the three-time division champion. It was also his 41st career win in this division. Counting his Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature win earlier in the evening, Ryland now has 78 combined victories at the track. Al Johnson set the early pace ahead of Ryland and Trent Golden. A low pass in turn four of the fourth lap gained Ryland the lead from Johnson. State point later Danny Wagner slipped into third on lap 8 and began pressuring Johnson, who was trailing Ryland by a straightaway. However, Ryland’s big lead was erased by a lap 10 yellow flag. Tocci Cruises to Second Straight Modified Win at ECS

By Ben Deatherage GREAT FALLS, Mont. (May 3, 2025) — Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds took center stage at Electric City Speedway for a 20-lap main event. Kolby Hannah managed to outmaneuver Jordan Tocci to lead the opening circuit, but Tocci, the two-time reigning Gallatin Speedway champion from Three Forks, swiftly reclaimed the top spot on lap four. From there, Tocci began to pull away as Hannah and David Davis battled for second. A mid-race caution on lap 10 regrouped the field, but Tocci proved untouchable on the restart, driving away to secure his second straight victory at ECS and in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. (May 3, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Crystal Motor Speedway delivered a career-defining moment for Lady Eagle racer Bree Wonch, who stormed to her first-ever victory in the DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region. After a daring pass on the bottom of turn four on lap 4, she surged to the lead and began to distance herself from the field. Despite a mid-race caution erasing her substantial advantage, Wonch nailed the restart and once again pulled away. Clay Claims Victory in SportMod Feature at El Paso County

(May 3, 2025) — A strong field of 12 drivers packed the pits of El Paso County Raceway for the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod division, and when the dust settled in the feature, it was Scott Clay of Colorado Springs parking his machine in victory lane. Inaugural RaceSaver Speedweek Set for May 21-25 Across Arkansas and Texas

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (May 7, 2025) — For the first time ever, RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars will headline a five-night, five-track Speedweek spanning Arkansas and Texas from May 21 through May 25. The tour opens on Wednesday, May 21 at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, followed by Rocket Raceway Park in Petty on Thursday, Hunt County Raceway in Greenville on Friday, RPM Speedway in Crandall on Saturday, and concludes at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Elm Mott on Sunday. Each night, Sprint Car drivers will race for $1,500 to win and $250 to start, with a championship point fund paying the top ten finishers. The Speedweek champion will collect $2,000, with $1,400 awarded to the runner-up and $1,250 for third. Christensen Claims First-Ever Stock Car Win in Wild Shelby County Feature

By Don Hawkins HARLAN, Iowa (May 3, 2025) — Riley Christensen thrilled the Shelby County Speedway crowd with a dramatic breakthrough victory in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, leading the final laps of a wild feature that included multiple lead changes, a tangle between frontrunners, and a green-white-checkered finish. Christensen, of Audubon, grabbed the point on lap 1 but was reeled in by Mike Vondrak and Larry Robinson Jr. midway through the race. Vondrak snuck underneath to lead lap 10, but a caution changed everything. Robinson made a move on the restart and got around Vondrak in turn three, but the two made contact, bringing out another caution. Vondrak came to a stop, handing the lead back to Christensen.
